Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cochin Drive To Munnar

  You are greeted on arrival at Cochin International Airport /Railway station by Munnar Holidays representative and thereafter depart for Munnar (130 kms / 04 hrs) enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. Day at Leisure. Overnight at Munnar.

• Day 2 : Munnar Day Tour

  Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing in Munnar which includes visit to the flower garden and for an elephant safari, before driving on to the scenic Mattupetty dam, Eco- point and Kundala dam areas. At Kundala dam there is an opportunity to enjoy boating on the lake. Finally we drive through a vegetable growing area to Top station which is situated high in the mountains on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay at Munnar.

• Day 3 : Munnar To Alleppey Houseboat (160kms 05hrs Drive)

  After breakfast Check out your resort and drive to Alleppey; also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast back water stretches and paddy fields. By 01 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back waters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride; delicious cuisines. Overnight stay at House Boat.

• Day 4 : Alleppey To Kovalam

  After breakfast drive to Kovalam.On arrival check in to the Resort. Evening free to relax at the Beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

• Day 5 : Kovalam - Trivandrum Sightseeing

  After breakfast you can go for the sightseeing of Trivandrum [The Capital of Kerala]. Here you can see the 260 year old Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple, covers an area of 2400 sq Km, Puthan Maliga Palace Museum [200 year old Palace of the Travancore Maharaja's], Napier Museum [Which has an electric display of bronzes, Zoo, temple carts, Ivory carvings etc.] and Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Evening relax at Resort. Overnight at Kovalam.

• Day 6 : Kovalam - Kanyakumari

  After early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kanyakumari (100 km - 3 hours drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Proceed for local sightseeing tour in the afternoon. Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent and represents the site where the spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda spent days in meditation upon a rock off of the coast. Padmanbhapuram Palace, Suchithram Temple, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Memorial, Gandhidham and Trivenisagam are some of the sightseeing attractions in Kanyakumari. Enjoy the sunset in the evening and overnight stay is arranged at the hotel. Overnight at Kanyakumari.

• Day 7 : Departure

  Morning after breakfast transfer to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for the onward Journey.

  We did the Markha Valley Track in 7 days. Everything was well organized. We had a tourguide who had lots of experience in operating the track (thx to Stenzing!) and food was always well prepared every evening (more than we could ever eat). The costs are on a fair rate for what we got. So - 5 points out of 5! The Tour to Lake Pangong was an adventure by itself with driving the 2nd highest pass in the world. The lixury tents directly at the lake are a must to sleep in! Absolutely fabulous! Thanks a lot to Niru and team. Markus
