Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Exploring Bentota (Bentota – Approx: 3 hours)

  This day marks the beginning of your exciting five-day vacation in the beautiful land of Sri Lanka. On reaching the Bandaranaike International Airport, a representative will meet you and take care of any immediate needs and ensure your smooth transfer to the beach haven of Bentota.
  Tourists from all over the world are seen flocking to this beach destination that keeps them enchanted with its teal water and golden beaches. Spend some time by the beach and indulge in sunbathing by the beach and snack on some local delicacies from the stalls while sipping on refreshing mocktails. Later head out for the city tour of Bentota.
  Start with a visit to the Kalyanarama Maha Vihariya that is famous among tourist and locals alike for its ancient marble effigy of Buddha. Your next destination is the Kande Vihare Temple known to be home to the tallest statue of Buddha in the country.
  The day ends with a delicious dinner at your hotel. Overnight stay at Bentota.

• Day 2 : Oh! Bentota, you Beauty. (Bentota)

  Wake to a splendid morning in Bentota and have some delectable breakfast at your hotel before you head out to the fascinating Madu River. Take the Madu River Boat Safari and enjoy the cruise amidst mangroves and distinct flora and fauna including the water monitor lizards, and kingfishers among others, while you pass by the various islets on the cruise.
  Later visit the Bentota Turtle Hatchery and be greeted by huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings of different species. You can hold them in your hands and tour the place to learn interesting facts from the knowledgeable staff at the Hatchery. The best part of the visit to this site is that you get to release some of the turtles back into the sea during sunset.
  The long and tiring day comes to an end with a lip-smacking dinner at your hotel. Overnight stay at Bentota.

• Day 3 : Hello, Colombo! (Bentota – Colombo)

  Rise to a beautiful morning in Bentota and indulge in a hearty breakfast at your hotel before you check out and head to Colombo. The capital of the country is known for its marvelous architecture, which showcases the perfect blend of contemporary and medieval architecture. The stunning structures displaying detailing from British, Dutch and Portuguese stand tall beside magnificent Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu and Christian places of worship.
  Start your tour with a visit to the Gangaram Temple and admire the splendid complex that is home to the main temple, a library, and a small museum. The place is of much significance in the Lankan culture and is the centre for the most extravagant Vesak celebration in the city. Later head to the National Museum and gain insights on the history, art, culture and tradition of Sri Lanka.
  Nothing beats an appetizing dinner after a long day. Spoil yourself with one rest the night in the comfort of your hotel room in Colombo.

• Day 4 : Exploring Colombo

  Kick start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, and you have the rest of the day at leisure. You can choose to explore the streets of Colombo and indulge in shopping. Stop by Beverly Street, Noritake, Odel and House of Fashion and get great deals on souvenirs and keepsakes for friends and family.
  The Currency Museum, Colombo Dutch Museum, Beira Lake, Arcade Independence Square and St. Lucia’s Cathedral are some of the other prominent sites that you can visit.
  The day ends with a savory dinner at your hotel before you retire to your room for the night.

• Day 5 : Returning Home (Colombo – Airport)

  Get your bags packed and savor your last breakfast on this trip at your hotel before you check out and head to the airport. This wonderful comes to an end.
