As we traverse this classic alpine terrain highlighted with the most scenic lakes, towering cliffs and bucolic villages in all of Switzerland, you’ll stay in absolutely charming chalet-style inns and 4-star hotels. There's hardly a moment when you're not within view of a waterfall—some of which are among the tallest in Switzerland. We cross alpine passes and high alpine meadows with commanding views.

We escape the tourist trail and find our way to car-free villages and remote alpine hamlets. We linger in Griesalp, Kandersteg and Adelboden to enjoy dayhikes, excursions, and cultural treasures that the through-hikers miss. Gstaad makes for an impressive conclusion, and you'll see why this little farming village drips with celebrity appeal.
