Package Overview

The tour visits places including Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli, Tsavo East and Tsavo West.

The Joint mass of Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks forms one of the largest National parks in the world and covers a massive 4% of Kenya's total land area. Tsavo East the larger of the two, lies to the east of the Nairobi-Mombasa road, equidistant between Nairobi and Mombasa, and offers a vast and untapped arena of arid bush which is washed by azure and emerald meandering of Galana River. Guarded by the limitless lava reaches of Yatta plateau and patrolled by some of the largest elephant herds in Kenya.

Tsavo West is located on south eastern Kenya, 240km from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges.

Major wildlife attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi - Masai Mara

  08:30 hrs: You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel and drive for the journey to the Masai Mara. Drive through the agriculturally rich central highlands of Kenya with stopover at the escarpment to view the magnificent East African Great Rift Valley. Descend to the floor of the escarpment to continue on to the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in search for animals. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
• Day 2 : Masai Mara

  Whole day spent at Masai Mara exploring the vastness of this wildlife haven Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Buffalos, Zebras dominates the scene while Antelopes, Warthogs, Wildebeests form formidable numbers. Masai Mara has the highest concentration of wildlife per squire kilometer than any other park in the region. An optional local Masai Village visit can be arranged. All meals and overnight at the camp.
• Day 3 : Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha

  Pre-breakfast game drive, game drive after breakfast. Afterwards depart for Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon boat ride to the crescent Island. Dinner and overnight at the budget hotel.

• Day 4 : Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru

  After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National park which hosts the largest concentration of Flamingoes which canopy the edge of this alkaline Rift Valley Lake. The park also hosts Lions, Leopard, Giraffe, and Warthog etc. There is a Rhino sanctuary and thus Rhino sightings are very high. Dinner and overnight at Nakuru guest house.
• Day 5 : Lake Nakuru - Amboseli

  After breakfast depart for Amboseli arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon game viewing drive looking for animals like Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Giraffe among many other plain game animals. Amboseli lies at the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight Camp.
• Day 6 : Amboseli

  After breakfast, proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the campsite for breakfast. After breakfast, a further game drive where plains game including Zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and various antelopes can be seen. You will have lunch and leisure break at the camp then end with an evening game drive, looking out for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather from the observation hill. Large herds of elephant and hippo can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight at the campsite.
• Day 7 : Amboseli National Park to Tsavo East National Park

  After breakfast you will proceed to Tsavo East National Park, game drive as you exit the park. Enter Tsavo East at Voi and drive to the Camp. Lunch at hotel and Game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
• Day 8 : Tsavo East National Park

  Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Start the drive to the back to Nairobi to end your safari.
