Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cochin

  Early morning arrive at Cochin International Airport. On arrival, meeting, assistance at airport by our representative and transfer to hotel. Where our executive will explain the travel plan in detail and hand over the essential documents (Tour programme, hotel's vouchers, feedback report etc.) to you. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.
  
  Optional: One can enjoy Ayurvedic Massage or can visit Cochin synagogue (15th century building) and meet this unique Jewish community - the only Indian Jews remaining.

• Day 2 : Cochin

  After breakfast at hotel visit Mattancherry PalaceThe Dutch Palace exhibits beautiful mural paintings that depict the scenes from Ramayana. The palace was built by the Portuguese and gifted to the Raja of Cochin, Vira Keralavarma. Fort Kochi is inhabited by Anglo-Indian community. The whole of the region presents a different aura and ambience. The culture is quite unique and represents the Eurasian culture. St Francis Church: This church was built by the Portuguese in the year 1503 A.D. It is said that Portuguese explorer Vasco-da-Gama was originally buried here and his remains were later brought to Lisbon. Santa CruzBasilica: Built by the Portuguese around 500 years back, the Santa Cruz Basilica is known for its Gothic exterior with soaring spires. Also visit Chinese fishing net and tour of the Jew town. Evening visit to watch traditional Kerala Kathakali dances.

• Day 3 : Cochin

  Morning Prayer in the synagogue, and program in Chabad. In the afternoon one can walk around fort cochin. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 4 : Cochin - Kumarakom (75 kms / 1.5 hrs)

  After breakfast at hotel drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom - is a confluence of beautiful small islands and is characterized by marvelous backwaters, vast paddy fields, mangrove forests, coconut groves etc. On arrival, check in at hotel. Later visit famous places including spice plantation. Overnight at hotel.
  
  Optional:Evening one can enjoy sunset cruise on Vembanad lake.

• Day 5 : Kumarakom - Alleppey

  After breakfast at hotel board on houseboatto enjoy cruise in backwaters. This cruise is very exciting and sensational to watch the real traditional Kerlan life who lives on the banks of backwaters. Enjoy lunch, Dinner at Houseboat.

• Day 6 : Alleppey - Periyar National Park (153kms / 3.5hrs)

  Morning after breakfast disembark from house boat and drive to Thekkady (Periyar National Park). The Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world. It spreads over 350 sq km. The Periyar National Park is synonymous with elephants and one cannot be thought of without the other. Upon arrival, check in at hotel.
  After wash and change at hotel one can visit Kadathanadan Kalari Centre (optional)- local martial arts show is highly recommended(optional). Evening options include Ayurvedic massage and night trekking. (Optional) Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 7 : Periyar National Park (153kms / 3.5hrs)

  After breakfast at hotel enjoy boat safari at Lake Periyar to explore the sanctuary. Later one can enjoy Elephant ride, nature walk and Bamboo rafting – dawn to dusk trekking and rafting in Periyar Tiger reserve. Rest of the day free for leisure activites.

• Day 8 : Periyar National Park - Madurai (137kms / 3hrs)

  After breakfast at hotel drive to Madurai. On arrival, check in at hotel.
  After wash and change at hotel visit Sree Meenakshi Temple, one of the most prominent temple dedicated to Lord Shiva who was known here as Sundareshvara and his wife Parvati or Meenakshi, Thirumalai Nayak Palace,a magnificent palace that was built by King Thirumalai Nayak with valuable assistance of an Italian architect in the year 1636. GandhiMuseum, Thirupparankunram - famous for the Pandyan rock-cut shrines that date back to the 8th century that later came to be known as the Nayaka Hindu temple. You will find a wide range of Hindu deities carved on the walls on your visit to this temple. Evening one can watch night ceremony at temple. Rest of the day free for leisure activities.

• Day 9 : Madurai - Kodaikanal (120kms / 2.5hrs)

  After breakfast at hotel drive to Kodaikanal - a famous hill station in Tamil Nadu, established in the 19th century. Elevation 2100m (around 7000 ft). On arrival, check in at hotel. After wash and change at hotel free time to explore the natural beauty of the place including VattakanalFalls. Evening free for Shabbat program at local Chabad house.
  Overnight at hotel.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 10 : Kodaikanal

  After breakfast at hotel. Free for Shabbat prayers and program @ Chabad Walking tour of the area- hiking in the mountains (Optional).

• Day 11 : Kodaikanal - Trichy (12O Kms / 2.5 hrs)

  After breakfast at hotel drive to Trichy. Trichywas the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English, upon arrival visit Lord Robert Clive's house, Srirangam Temple & Rock-Fort Temples.
  In time transfer to railway station to board on train to Chennai.
  Overnight in train.

• Day 12 : Arrive Chennai at 0630 hrs

  Morning arrive at Chennai railway station. On arrival, meeting, assistance by our representative and transfer to hotel. After wash and change at hotel enjoy full day city tour including The British East India Company's St. George Fort is a famous landmark of Chennai. Another colonial structure in the city of Chennai worth visiting is the Santhome Cathedral& Marina Beach. Evening free for leisure activities.
  Overnight at hotel.

• Day 13 : Chennai - Excursion To Mahabalipuram

  After breakfast at hotel excursion to Mahabalipuram. And visit shore temple & Pallava Cave - The standing testimonial to the rock cut art, also visitArjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and beach. Later return back to Chennai. On arrival transfer to airport to board on flight for onward destination.
