Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Airport (CMB) - Negombo

  Welcome to Sri Lanka, the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean”! On arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your private Dream Lanka Tours chauffeur-guide and be driven to Negombo (about 45-minute drive). Negombo is one of the major tourist beach resorts of the island, this lively town is mainly inhabited by the fisher-folk. This is also one of the strongholds of the Catholic community of Sri Lanka, located along the picturesque Negombo lagoon, along which hundreds of fishing boats and catamarans could be seen most of the time. The town has several churches, some dating from the earliest colonial times. Sightseeing at Negombo includes the remains of the Old Dutch fortress from 1678, the Dutch canal constructed for the transportation of cinnamon, St. Mary’s church and the Old Dutch cemetery, and naturally, the Negombo fish market (If any entrance fees to sites not included in the package).
• Day 2 : Negombo - Sigiriya

  After early breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Sigiriya, En route we visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The Elephant Orphanage is a sanctuary for over 100 retired, abused or orphaned elephants. Visitors from all over the world come to see these magnificent animals. At times, there are also some small babies who have been born into the herd. The daily highlight is the walk from the Orphanage to take the herd down to the river to bathe the elephants. The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs and 1330-1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs and 1400-1430 hrs when all the elephants are taken to the river
• Day 3 : Sigiriya - Matale - Kandy

  After early breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Kandy, via Matale, you will have the opportunity to visit a Spice Garden, where you can have an insight to the spice production in Sri Lanka. At the spice garden, where smells of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age-old industry of spice production, which attracted many European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka. Riverston situated approximately 30KM from the town of Matale, a beautiful mountain range, which is part of the Knuckles Mountain. Described as the ‘mini world’s end’, the Riverston peak with a sheer drop of 300 meters, offers a grand view of the central hills, the Knuckles mountain range and beautifully terraced paddy fields in the Thelgama valley. Another attraction is Pitawala Pathana close by to Riverston, yet another picturesque site of mountains, waterfalls, and natural pools.
• Day 4 : Kandy - Colombo

  After early breakfast at Hotel, commence to Colombo, en route we will visit Royal Botanical Gardens. This beautiful flower Eden is restored with over 300 different varieties of orchids, other spices, medicinal plants and Palm trees. Every year more than 1.2 million people are enchanted by the beauty of these 147-acre flower gardens (Entrance fees to sites not included in the package).
• Day 5 : Colombo - Airport (CMB)

  After breakfast at the Hotel we will transfer you to Katunayake Airport (CMB) or if you have a late departure we can take you to more sightseeing in Colombo or Negombo (If any entrance fees to sites not included in the package).
