Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Shimla

  First day of this journey will begin by exploring in Shimla. We’ll go through Mall Road and Ridge area. Visit the Lakkar bazaar, Church, Scandal Point, city market and experience the views and history of old summer capital of India during colonial British times.
• Day 2 : Shimla – Sarhan

  We start from Shimla in the morning and drive to Sarhan. On the way we’ll pass Wangtu bridge and reach Sarhan in evening. If early, we can see the Sarhan bird sanctuary and Bhim Kali temple.
• Day 3 : Sarhan – Sangla

  We’ll spend two days in Sangla enjoying valley landscape, , nature trails, apple orchards and the simple way of life of local villagers. We can explore numerous small rivers flowing through the area and relax on riverside. The time spent here will help us acclimatize to the higher altitude of Spiti valley.

• Day 4 : Sangla – Kalpa

  Kalpa village is famous for apple orchards and meadows. A small town Reckong Peo serves as district headquarters of Kinnaur district and is also the launching pad for most journeys it. Out hotel in Kalpa is between lovely apple and cherry orchards and is a very romantic place to spend an evening in.
• Day 5 : Kalpa – Tabo

  We’ll reach Tabo next morning. Tabo Monastery is among the oldest Buddhist monasteries in India with an history dating back to 1000 years. It has numerous priceless artifacts and Thanka paintings. There is a Pillar of a Thousand Buddhas. Tabo monastery is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Monastery entry is made of earthen walls and covered with beautiful frescoes. The different stages of Buddha’s life and tales from Jataka are painted Tibetan style.Soon after, we’ll visit caves in mountains nearby which are used by monks for to meditating. We next visit Nako lake on the way and Giu with it’s mummy of a Buddhist monk.
