Day 1 : Arrive Jakarta
On arrival at Jakarta airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Jakarta.
Day 2 : Jakarta - Bandung
Enjoy a guided city tour of Jakarta. In the afternoon, depart for Bandung. Opt to see the traditional angklung orchestra. A guided city tour will visit the former Batavia area, remnants of the colonial past, and tour the Sunda Kelapa Harbour. In Bandung, opt to see the angklung orchestra - resonating melodies created when children shake bamboo instruments. Overnight in Bandung.
Day 3 : Bandung-Yogyakarta
Take the morning train to Yogyakarta enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. In the evening, opt to take in a dance performance by the Ramayana Ballet.
Day 4 : Yogyakarta
Drive to a village near Borobudur. Take a tour by horsecart through the village, and enjoy an included local lunch in the village. Later, visit Borobudur, the largest Buddhist sanctuary in the world. The small village of Candirejo is a great place to get a taste of life in a local village. Travelling by horse cart, see native customs, traditions, and the agricultural system. Then, spend time at Borobudur and come away with a deeper understanding of the Buddhist culture here.
Day 5 : Surakarta
Drive to Solo (Surakarta), the traditional capital of the old Javanese Kingdom. En route, visit the Prambanan Temple complex, a lavish example of ancient architecture. In the afternoon, opt for a bike tour of the area.
Day 6 : Surakarta - Batu
Continue the journey across the agricultural heartland of Java to Batu, a large hill resort surrounded by volcanic peaks on the lower reaches of Gunung Arjuna.
Day 7 : Batu
Visit Mt Bromo, then enjoy a free afternoon with options to visit nearby waterfalls or wander around the village.
Day 8 : Batu-Sanur
Drive from Batu to Malang for a short flight to Sanur and enjoy some free time.
Day 9 : Depart Sanur
Today get transferred to the Denpasar airport for your flight back home.
