Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai Airport, a representative from Rover Holidays will receive you with warm welcome and transfer you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and then freshen up and relax. Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. It is popular as gateway to Southern India. Established by the East India Company, Chennai city is one of the oldest cities of the country. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 2 : Chennai - Covelong

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later embark on half-day sightseeing tour in Chennai covering Gandhi Memorial, Kala Kshetra, Mylapore Temple, and world famous Marina Beach. The Marina Beach is one of the most sought after tourist places and attractions to visit in the city of Chennai. It is considered to be world’s second longest urban beach. There are several structures and buildings at and around the beach. Some notable attractions at the beach include Lighthouse, MGR Memorial, Napier Bridge, Anna Memorial, and statues of several other great personalities of the state and India. Later, drive to Covelong, a fishing village located at the distance of 40 kilometers from the city of Chennai. Covelong beach is very famous among tourists for leisure and fun activities. On arrival at Covelong Beach, check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3 : Covelong

Take breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy fun activities and water sports like windsurfing at the beach. Explore the beach attractions and several other nearby attractions. Relax at the beach and enjoy superb natural beauty. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 4 : Covelong - Pondicherry

Take your breakfast and then check out from the hotel in Covelong. Thereafter leave for Pondicherry by road. On arrival in Pondicherry, check in at the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later embark on half day city tour. Visit the internationally famed Aurobindo Ashram where you will be transported to a world of bliss and serenity. Practice meditation. Later, visit the Pondicherry Museum, and several other attractions of the city. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5 : Pondicherry - Thanjavur (Tanjore)

Have a very heart breakfast. Check out from the hotel in Pondicherry and then leave for Thanjavur, formerly called Tanjore. Thanjavur is a historical city and important tourist destination in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a very important center for South Indian religion, art, and architecture. On arrival in this historical city, check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later embark on sightseeing tour of Thanjavur. Explore the Great Living Chola Temples (UNESCO World Heritage Monument), located in and around the city of Tanjore. Visit the Brihadeeswara Temple the most visited monument in the city. Also visit the some other architectural marvels and attractions like Thanjavur Palace & Museum, Thanjavur Maratha palace, Saraswathi Mahal Library, and Schwartz Church. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 : Thanjavur (Tanjore) - Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) - Madurai

Have hearty breakfast and then check out from the hotel in Tanjore. Later leave for to Madurai, a historical and holy city in the state of Tamil Nadu, en route visiting Tiruchirappalli, also called Trichy or Tiruchi. Trichy is one of important cities and tourists destinations in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a historical city and dotted with several historical monuments. It has seen the rules of several empires. Major attractions to see at Tiruchi include Rockfort Temples, Ranganathaswamy Temple, Erumbeeswarar Temple, Jambukeswarar Temple, Nadir Shah Mosque, Christ Church, and Chokkanatha Nayak Palace & Museum. Later, continue to Madurai, Tamil Nadu. On arrival check in at the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 7 : Madurai - Periyar (Thekkady)

Take a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Then embark on sightseeing tour of Madurai. There are several historical monuments and temples in the city of Madurai. Visit the architecturally beautiful Meenakshi Amman Temple, a historic Hindu temple, dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi (incarnation of Goddess Parvati), the wife of Sundareswarar (incarnation of Lord Shiva). Explore the temple complex seeing its gopurams, shrines, halls, and hall of thousand pillars. Also visit the Tirumalai Nayak Palace. Later, drive Periyar (Thekkady) in Kerala. On arrival check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 : Periyar (Thekkady) - Kumarakom

Take breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the boat ride on Periyar Lake in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to visit the wildlife attractions. It would provide you a great opportunity to spot elephants and avifauna of the sanctuary. In the afternoon drive to Kumarakom, Kerala. On arrival check in at the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 9 : Kumarakom - Alleppey

Check out from the hotel and proceed to Kumarakom, a very popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam in Kerala. Set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake, it is primarily famous for backwater tourism and has been emerged as one of the best backwater tourism destinations in the state of Kerala. Board on the houseboat. Have breakfast. Explore the beauty of nature by going on an exciting houseboat cruise across the beautiful backwaters. Cruise to Alleppey. Staying and spending time at houseboat floating on the backwaters would be an unforgettable experience. Enjoy the sunset and stay overnight on the houseboat. Lunch and dinner will be served on board the houseboat. Stay overnight at floating villa at houseboat.

Day 10 : Alleppey - Kochi

After breakfast on board check out from the houseboat at Alleppey. Also known as Alappuzha, Alleppey is also one of the popular backwater tourist destinations in the state of Kerala. From Alleppey drive to Kochi, formerly known as Cochin. Kochi is an important city in the state of Kerala and has emerged as great tourist destination with lots of attractions in and around the city. On arrival at Cochin, embark on Cochin sightseeing tour visiting Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Dutch Palace, Santa Cruz Basilica, St Francis Church, and Chinese Fishing Nets. After sightseeing tour in Kochi, you will be dropped at Kochi Airport to connect flight for Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Our representative will receive you from Chennai Airport and then transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
