Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Chennai

  Arrival at Chennai International Airport and then you will be transferred to Hotel & check in time at the hotel is 1200 hrs noon). Chennai, South India’s largest city. Later in the afternoon, sightseeing tour of Chennai visiting - the National Art Gallery & Museum, Fort St George, a drive along the Marina Beach, St. Mary's church and Mylapore Temple. Overnight at the Chennai Hotel

• Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram (60 kms / 1 ½ hrs)

  This morning breakfast depart for Mahabalipuram by road. On your arrival, check in at the Hotel. Later, sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, well known for their Rock Temples, sculptures and the world’s largest stone bas relief. The fantastic Shore Temples are among the most talked about and most photographed monuments in the country. Overnight in Mahabalipuram Hotel.

• Day 3 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (95 kms / 02 hrs)

  This morning breakfast depart for Pondicherry by road. Pondicherry, a French colony till 1954, it borders the ocean & still has a distinctly French flavor to it with its Mediterranean waterfront & cobbled streets. On your arrival in Pondicherry check in at Hotel Le Dupleix. Overnight in Pondicherry Hotel.

• Day 4 : In Pondicherry

  This morning breakfast at the hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of Pondicherry visiting The Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville and The Matri Mandir. Overnight in Pondicherry Hotel.

• Day 5 : Pondicherry - Thanjavur - Trichy (255 kms / 06 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast depart for Trichy by road en-route sightseeing Thanjavur visiting - the Brahadeeswara and other temples from the Chola dynasty. After sightseeing depart for Trichy by road. Trichy, once the Chola citadel was also briefly ruled by the Pallavas and the Pandyas, is another famous temple town of Tamil Nadu. On your arrival in Trichy, check in at Hotel Sangam. Overnight in Trichy Hotel.

• Day 6 : Trichy

  This morning after breakfast at the hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of Trichy visiting the Rock Fort Temple and the Island of Srirangam. Overnight in Trichy Hotel.

• Day 7 : Trichy - Madurai (250 kms / 05 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast drive to Madurai. Madurai, the city known for its rich heritage, culture and historical background, most famous for the Meenakshi Temple. On your arrival in Madurai, check in at Hotel. Later in the evening, witness Temple ceremony at the Meenakshi Temple. Overnight in Madurai Hotel.

• Day 8 : Madurai - Periyar (150 kms / 04 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast at the hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of Madurai visiting - The Shree Meenakshi Temple, the Teppa Kulum - a tank with an island temple and Tirumalainaik Palace. After the sightseeing drive to Periyar. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best maintained wildlife sanctuaries in Southern India, giving an opportunity of spotting elephants, leopards, tigers and bison’s, amongst various other species of flora and fauna. On your arrival in Periyar, check in at the Resort. Overnight in Periyar Resort.

• Day 9 : Periyar

  Early morning boat ride on Periyar lake to watch wildlife. After breakfast a short jungle trek with a naturalist to watch flora, fauna and avifauna Overnight in Periyar Resort.

• Day 10 : Periyar - Kumarakom (140 kms /04 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Arrival in Kumarakom, check in at Hotel. Overnight in Kumarakom Hotel.

• Day 11 : Kumarakom - Houseboat

  This morning after breakfast, transfer to the jetty to board the Houseboat for an overnight cruise in the backwaters of Kerala. Cruise takes you through the palm-fringed canals and is a unique way to discover Kerala. Evening candlelit dinner on board houseboat. Overnight on board the Houseboat.

• Day 12 : Houseboat - Kumarakom - Cochin (70 kms / 01 ½ hrs)

  This morning after breakfast, Houseboat in Kumarakom and drive to Cochin. Cochin or Kochi (new name) is the palm green commercial capital of Kerala. Cochin is Kerala second largest city. On your arrival in Cochin, check in at Hotel Overnight in Cochin Hotel.

• Day 13 : Cochin - Bangalore (By Flight)

  This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to the Cochin airport in time to board the flight for Bangalore. Arrival in Bangalore, you will be met by a representative and will be transferred to Hotel. One of Southern India’s largest cities is also known as the Silicon Valley of India. Later in the afternoon sightseeing tour of Bangalore visiting - The Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, the Bull Temple and the Vidhan Soudha. Overnight in Bangalore Hotel.
