Day 1 : Arrival
Arrive in the holy city of Lhasa, capital of the mystical Buddhist Kingdom of Tibet. Three out of the six most important Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries are in Lhasa. It is the home to some of the world's richest religious relics. Meeting and transferred to the Hotel. Overnight in Lasha
Day 2 : Lhasa
Tour starts from the religious 7th century Potala Palace. The present one was built by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. The Potala is full of elaborate artwork and frescos. After lunch, you will visit Jokhang Temple. King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is the most sacred place in Tibet. Visit Barkhor Street before returning to hotel. Overnight in Lasha
Day 3 : Lhasa
Morning drive to Drepung Monastery. This the largest monastery in Asia with 7700 lamas. Later visit Norbulingka Park. In 1752, the 7th Dalai Lama built the first palace here to carry out their political and religious activities during the summer season. Today Norbulingka has become a public park for picnicking, and entertainment. Overnight in Lasha
Day 4 : Lhasa / Tsetang
Morning drive to Tsetang, the birth place of Tibetan civilization. En route, visit Samye Monastery. Continue drive to Tsetang - visit Yumbulagen, the earliest Tibetan imperial palace. Later visit Sera Monastery, one of the three great monasteries in Tibet. Overnight in Tsetang.
Day 5 : Tsetang / Gyantze
Drive to Gyantze, the once fortified city at the junction caravan routes: to India and Nepal. Pass the giant Holy Yamdrok Yamtso Lake. Visit a Tibetan family. Continue drive to Gyantze. Upon arrival, visit Palkhor Monastery and Ten-thousand-Buddhist Pagoda. Overnight in Gyantze.
Day 6 : Gyantze / Shigaste
Travel to Shigatse. On the way, visit Shalu Monastery. It was renowned as a centre of learning and psychic training and its mural paintings were considered to be the most ancient and beautiful in Tibet. Arrive in Shigatse and visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, traditional seat of the Panchen Lama the second holiest man in Tibet. Overnight in Shigaste.
Day 7 : Shigaste / Lhasa
After breakfast, drive back to Lhasa. Visit Tibet Museum, best place to learn about beautiful and mystical Tibetan culture. Overnight in Lasha.
Day 8 : Departure
Transfer in time to the airport for your departure flight.
