Detail
Bhutan Chomolhari Trek is the pleasant walk direct into the foothill of exquisite Chomolhari Mountain, Widely accepted as one of the best treks in Bhutan, Chomolhari Mountain got its name after the most revered Mountain Goddess and the scenic landscape around this mountain justify the name. The trail progresses through the crystalline route that is located above Pa Chhu River and takes you through rhododendron and oak woods and alpine meadows. You will also get the chance to ascend some Passes of moderate heights. It offers the closest possible view of Chomolhari Mountain. Chomolhari Mountain is considered as the most beautiful peak of the eastern Himalayas. It rises up peacefully with its 7314m colossal height. The mountain is encircled by the vast expanses of pastureland. ‘Bhutan Chomolhari Trek’ at ‘Himalayan Recreation Treks’ is a 12-days package. The journey begins with a flight to Paro which then prolongs through many unspoilt villages. This is the must take trek if you are looking for acquainting yourself with the traditional lifestyle of yak- herders and highland farmers. Visiting time-worn monasteries that remain hung to the cliff sides, walking to fortresses, taking a stroll nearby Pa Chhu River are some major attractions of this trek. Based on availability at the time of booking, A grade hotels will be provided in Paro and Thimphu. We use Hotel Tashi Namgay Resort in Paro , Hotel Migmar in Thimphu and tent/camping during the trekking. All accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. Meals
A variety of meals is available in most hotels – the most popular being Indian, Chinese, and the more common continental food. Non-vegetarian dishes are generally available in most parts of Bhutan – pork, beef, chicken, and fish. The best advice is to ask the hotel and restaurant to recommend what is fresh and in a season. For the actual trekking days, our company will send a wide assortment of food. We will be provided 3 meals a day – breakfast, hot picnic lunch on the way, and dinner at the campsites with evening tea and snacks. Himalayan Recreation’s trekking cooks are well trained and can whip up delicious meals at any altitude.
