Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Baghdogra - (225 kms / 6 Hrs.)

  On arrival, our representative will greet you at airport. Proceed for Phuntsholing border to West Bengal, if time permits we process Visa/ permits. Overnight in Phuntsholing.
• Day 2 : Phuntsholing to Thimphu- (5.5-6 Hrs.)

  Morning we process to visit immigration office, after approving permits we drive to Thimphu, on the way we visit Kharpandi temple (Founded in 1967 by Royal Grand Mother, Ashi Phuntsho Choedron and situated at the altitude of 400m) and continue to Thimphu, lunch will be on the way. Overnight Thimphu.

• Day 3 : Thimphu sightseeing-Paro (1.5-2Hrs.)

  After breakfast visit to the National Memorial Chorten. This temple was first initiated by the Third King as a protection from the negative elements of modernization, and as a monument to world peace. Then visit Buddha Point(Great Buddha Dordenma is a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue in the mountains of Bhutan celebrating the 60th anniversary of fourth king Jigme SingyeWangchuck.), Changankha Lhakhang, 12 th century temple, Other sites to visit include: the School for Arts and Crafts where students are taught the 13 types of Bhutanese art, The National Library housing the collection of Bhutanese scriptures dating back to the 8th century, the Traditional Paper Factory displaying the Bhutanese paper making process, and a fascinating replica of a medieval farmhouse at the Folk Heritage Museum. Takin preserve center (the national animal of Bhutan), and Tashichhodzong, ‘the fortress of the glorious religion’. Initially erected in 1641 by ShabdrungNgawangNamgyal, it was rebuilt in the 1960s during the reign of Bhutan’s third king in the traditional style, without plans or nails. Tashichhodzong houses some ministries, His Majesty’s secretariat, and the central monk body. Later visit Simthokha Dzong, One of the first Dzong build in Bhutan.
  If your visit to Thimphu coincides with the weekend, you can walk through the Thimphu Market to see the variety of food of Bhutan, including basket upon basket of fiery chillies, cheese and a variety of greens. (This market is open only from Friday-Sunday). Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu. evening we drive to Paro. Overnight In Paro

• Day 4 : Paro Sightseeing – Phuntsholing (5.5-6 Hrs.)

  Early morning we drive to visit to the Ta Dzong Museum housing many religious relics, works of art and handicrafts offering a great orientation into Bhutan’s historical, cultural, and religious past. Next, visit the Rimpong Dzong to see the painting of the great saint Milarepa, considered as the master of meditation by the Bhutanese and believed to have attained enlightenment in a lifetime. Dzong’s are large monasteries and district administrative centres, which were once strategic forts. Later visit Kichu Lhakhang, One of the oldest temple in Bhutan, build on 7th century, Dungtse Lhakhang . Afternoon Drive to Phuntsholing.
  Overnight in Phuntsholing
• Day 5 : Departure to Baghdogra (225 kms / 6 Hrs.)

  Enjoy your last breakfast in Bhutan and get ready to take along all memorable memories with you. Drive to Paro/ Bagdogra airport.
