Day 1 : Delhi
Flight to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi and transfer to the hotel. Check in time is 1200 hrs.
Day 2 : Delhi
Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi:Morning sightseeing of Old Delhi will entail a visit to Raj Ghat-memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid-the largest mosque of India and the Red Fort-the most lavish Palace of Mughal Empire.
New Delhi: take an extensive visit to Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House, and Lotus Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Delhi - Jaipur (262 Kms)
After breakfast drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 : Jaipur
After morning breakfast, set out for sightseeing visit to the Amber Fort. The fort is situated at 130m high on the Aravalli hills and is almost 11 km north from Jaipur. Further sightseeing tour in Jaipur includes a visit of Hawa Mahal-palace of wind, Jantar Mantar- the observatory built by astrologer king Jai Singh II, City Palace and its museum. In the evening, set out for exploring colorful and bustling bazaars in Jaipur. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Jaipur - Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra. On the way to Jaipur, see Fatehpur Sikri, built by Akbar to serve his huge kingdom. The city was abruptly abandoned due to shortage of water. On arrival at Jaipur, transfer to the hotel for check in.
Day 6 : Agra
The city of Agra is gifted with lots of lovely and beautiful buildings built by the Mughal. They were infatuated in constructing buildings which consequently rendered the city with majestic buildings.
Sightseeing of Agra will include a visit to the Taj Mahal-a monument of love. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to commemorate his deep-rooted love for his wife Mumtaj Mahal. This monument is globally renowned for its breathtaking craftsmanship, decors and design. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Note: Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday.
Day 7 : Agra - Varanasi
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to connect flight to Varanasi. On arrival in Varanasi transfer to the hotel.
Varanasi, formerly known as Kashi meaning the City of Light is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The city is the most sacred place for the Hindu. The city is also significant for the Jains because of the birth of three Tirthankars-7th, 11th & 23rd here.
Sightseeing of Varanasi will entail a visit including Sarnath-a place where Buddha attained enlightenment, Dhamekh Stupa-a place where Buddha delivered his first sermon to the five disciples, Dharmarajika Stupa- built by Emperor Ashoka between 273 to 326 BC. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 : Varanasi - Kolkata
Explore the beauty of Varanasi like rising sun on the Ganges, thousands of devotees dipping in the river Ganga to attain salvation, see the pilgrims offering sweets, flowers and holy water to Sun God. Enjoy sightseeing visit to Bharatmata temple, Durga Temple-built in Nagara style, The Banaras Hindu University-the largest Campus University in India founded by Madan Mohan Malaviya, Visvanath Temple-devoted to Lord Shiva.
In the evening transfer to the railway station to connect overnight train to Howrah (2030/0645 hrs). Overnight in the train.
Day 9 : Kolkata
Arrival in Howrah at 0645 hrs, (Rooms available from 1200 hrs onwards) and transfer to the hotel.
Kolkata wonderfully transformed itself from a mere village to the biggest metropolis. The city is rich in contemporary cultured life and contributes to arts, science, medicine and social reforms.
Sightseeing of Kolkata will entail a visit to Victoria Memorial-built in the memory of Queen Victoria, Botanical Gardens- a garden with verities of faun and flora; Kali Temple-dedicated to Goddess Kali it is located at Kaligha. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10 : Kolkata - Paro
Arrival in Paro. Transfer to the hotel for check in.
Of all Bhutan’s valley, Paro is the most beautiful. It is historically the centre of two of the most important trade routes to Tibet. Visit Rinpung Dzong a fortress-monastery overlooking Paro valley. From here, you have a panoramic view of religious Chomolhari mountain (7,330m). Also visit Ta Dzong which was built in 1775 and now is National Museum. It has a collection of the postal stamps of Bhutan, and Rinpung Dzong.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 : Paro - Wangdi
After breakfast drive to Wangdi. On the way visit Punakha. The Punakha Dzong was known in ancient times as the Druk Pungthang Dechhen Phrodang meaning “the palace of great happiness”. It was the royal winter residence, built by Shanbdung Nawang Namgyal in 1651. Proceed to Wangdi. On arrival in Wangdi check in at the hotel.
Day 12 : Wangdi - Djakar
After breakfast drive to Djakar. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 : Djakar
Visit Kurje Lakhang which holds body prints of Guru Rinpoche Jambey Lhakhang. Further you can visit to Tamshing Monastery (one of the oldest monastic school), the Jakar Dzong (administrative center of the region) and Swiss Farm House. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14 : Djakar - Tongsa
After breakfast drive to Tongsa. Trongsa Dzong is one of the most impressive Dzongs in Bhutan. Arrive Tongsa, check in at the lodge in Tongsa.
Day 15 : Tongsa - Thimphu
Early morning return journey to Thimpu (220km). Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimpu.
Day 16 : Thimphu - Phuntsholing
Sightseeing of Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan includes visit to Memorial Chorten dedicated to the third king of Bhutan- Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Also visit to the Changgankha Monastery and the early-17th-century Simtokha Dzong (fortress-turned-university of the Buddhist studies). Thimphu’s weekend market is the biggest in Bhutan and well worth a stop.
Precede to Phuntsholing- a small town on the India/Bhutan border. The city can be accessed only by road and it connects to major Indian Railways node, NJP (New Jalpaiguri). Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17 : Phuntsholing - Kolkata - Puri
After early breakfast, drive to Bagdogra. Enter India and continue drive to the airport through pretty Teesta Valley. Board flight to Kolkata (Operates on Mon, Wed, Fri). On arrival in Delhi transfer to the hotel.
Flight to Bhubaneswar, capital city of Odisha State. On arrival transfer to the hotel in Puri (80 km). Overnight stay at the hotel in Puri.
Day 18 : Puri Free to relax
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 19 : Puri Free to relax
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 20 : Puri Free to relax
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 21 : Puri Free to relax.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 22 : Puri - Kolkata
Return to Bhubaneswar and connect the flight to Kolkata. After arrival transfer to hotel.
Day 23 : Kolkata - Home
Transfer to airport to connect flight back home. Check out time is 1200 hrs.
