Day 1 : Land At Bagdogra and Travel to Phuentsholing (165 Kms | 5-hour Journey)
After arriving in Bagdogra from your respective cities, adventure-hungry travellers will embark on their journey to Phuentsholing (the entry point for Bhutan). After arriving in Phuentsholing, guests will check-in in their hotel accommodations for an overnight stay in Phuentsholing. After which you are free to explore or be at leisure. A hearty dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel are much needed for the exciting journey that lies ahead.
Day 2 : From Phuentsholing to Thimphu (180 Km | Approximately a 5-hour Journey.)
The tour departs from Phuentsholing to Thimphu in the morning. On arriving in Thimphu, our expert guides will brief you on the journey, things to do and avoid in Bhutan. Some places of sightseeing you can indulge in Thimphu include Simtokha Dzong, Buddha View Point, and Memorial Chorten. The day post lunch is filled with sightseeing, were our well-informed guides will take you out to explore, Takin Mini Zoo, Trashi Chhoe Dzong. The day is not over until we indulge in a delicious dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 : Exploring Thimphu
After a hearty breakfast, we set out to explore the sights that Thimphu has to offer, which include, Arts & Craft School, National Library, and the Textile Museum. After a hearty lunch at the restaurant of your choice (our guides will always help you find the best restaurants for every diverse taste bud) We continue sightseeing after refuelling our energy to the Zilukha Nunnery in Drubthob Goemba, which overlooks the Tashichhoedzong or Thimpu Dzong, where one can find tranquillity and peace in the chanting of the Nuns in the peaceful setting. Other stops on the journey include the handicraft emporium and the craft bazaar.
Day 4 : Moving Ahead from Thimphu to Punakha – (75 Km / 3 Hrs)
After breakfast, the tour leaves to Punakha, through the Dochula pass at 3100m. Although only 45 minutes from Thimphu, the Dochula pass viewpoint offers a stunning glimpse of the Himalayan mountain range. We stop and of course click breathtakingly selfies. On the way to Punakha, we encounter the Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) that sits on a small hill in the centre of the valley and explore the Punakha Dzong Fortress that stands on an island between the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. We arrive and spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Punakha.
Day 5 : From Punakha to Paro (150 Kms / 5 hours)
After breakfast, we proceed to Paro which is a long 5-hour journey. After the tedious and long travel, we rest our weary bones and rejuvenate for adventure. For a while, we explore the National Museum of Bhutan and its wide display of antique items gathered from different parts of the country. The Kyichu Lhakhang which is also one of the oldest Temples in Bhutan. After a long day of sightseeing, we return to the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner and have a much-needed rest.
Day 6 : Sightseeing at Paro
First thing after a hearty breakfast, we take the road and hike up the hill to visit famous Tiger’s nest temple. Perched on the edge of a 1,200-meter cliff, the Tiger Nest monastery is an enthralling sight, also the unofficial symbol of Bhutan. In the evening, we return back to the hotel, to indulge in a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 7 : Departure from Paro to Phuentsholing (150 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast in Paro, we start our journey back to Phuntsholing for an overnight stay. On arrival in Phuntsholing, we visit the popular tourist destinations of Zangtopelri Lhakhang and Karbandi Monastery. Return for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 : Departure
It is time to say goodbye until we meet again… After the morning breakfast, you will be taken for drop off at the Bagdogra Airport for your return journey home. With a mind full of memories and a phone full of selfies!
