Package Overview

The expedition on the great Brahmaputra begins at Tuting, where Tsang Po, the name given to it in Tibet, takes on the name Siang in Arunachal Pradesh. Get ready for some of the best big white-water rafting and kayaking there is to offer in the world. Rapids such as the 'Pulsating Pulsi', 'Toothfairy' at Cherring will give you more than enough adrenaline to tell the folks back home. This self-contained river run offers an amazing journey through tropical forests, gorges and a window into a rich culture, unlike any other. The Great Brahmaputra is for anyone who is looking for an exhilarating rafting and kayaking expedition and will be rewarded with an experience that will give you goose bumps whenever you think about it.
The camps are located on the river bed virtually every night of the expedition and this is as close of an experience to nature that one could get. The blanket of stars covers you at night as we dream of the experiences that the day brought, and look forward to the next.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Fly to Dibrugarh

  Fly to the city of Dibrugarh on the lower banks of Brahmaputra. Walk around the city and visit the heritage tea garden and ethnic city centre. Overnight stay in a hotel.
• Day 2 : Dibrugarh to Pasighat

  Ferry ride to Pasighat. Eight hours ride offers some spectacular views of the local plants and animals and you might catch a glimpse of the Ganga dolphin. Overnight stay in a cozy hotel in Pasighat.
• Day 3 : Pasighat to Tutting

  Two days drive to reach the starting point of rafting trip. The route goes through dense and beautiful rainforest and meet a lot of locals on the way. Camp overnight in Jegging and then we move towards Tutting on the second day. Overnight camping in Tutting with campfire and hot dinner.
• Day 4 : Day Off

  Day off for relaxing. Hike to the nearby village Jedu and explore the local tribal culture. Rest of the day will be spent on briefing about the paddling commands, safety procedures and rescue techniques to be followed while in the river.
• Day 5 : Tutting to Pango

  First day of river run. Expect a lot of grade 4 rapids like Ninguing and Pulsating Pulsi near the Palsi village. Reach Pango for the next camp setup and overnight stay. Walk around the place for some awesome views and plenty of experiences.
• Day 6 : Pango to Cherring

  Classic whitewater paddling from Pango to Cherring which starts by paddling the enormous Pango rapid. Then we enter one of the most unexplored and untouched canyons in the world by moving onto Ninguing and Marmong canyons and later into Rikor and Zebra Rock rapids. Overnight camp near ToothFairy rapid.
• Day 7 : Cherring to Ramsingh

  We walk around the famous grade 6 rapid ToothFairy and get out of the Mormong gorge. More grade 4 rapids like Hairy Hari and Broken Oar awaits us further in the trip. Overnight camp near Ramsingh.
• Day 8 : Ramsingh to Geku

  Start the day with some grade 4+ rapids like Moying Madness after which the river becomes comparatively easy until Nubo. We reach Geku after passing through Karo Killer rapid. Overnight camp in Geku.
• Day 9 : Day Off

  Day off for relaxing. Rest the entire day or go hiking in the surrounding areas.
• Day 10 : Geku to Rotung

  Float trip passing through many Adi tribal settlements. Keep moving until we reach Rotung village. On the way we pass through the confluence of Brahmaputra and Siyom rivers and some beautiful villages like Yembung and Rotung. Overnight camp in Rotung.
• Day 11 : Rotung to Pasighat

  Rafting on the last whitewater section on Brahmaputra before it goes flat and voluminous. Overnight stay in a hotel in Pasighat.
• Day 12 : Pasighat to Dibrugarh to Delhi

  Ferry ride to Dibrugarh from Boghiwheel Ghat. Fly back to Delhi.
