Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Delhi to Mathura

    Pick up from Delhi

    Vrindavan:-

    1- Veshno Devi
    A beautiful temple of Maa Vaishno Devi in Vrindavan, Mathura (UP). There is a very big Idol of Goddess Sherawali with his lion and Hanuman Ji.
    There is a cave built in the temple that devipts various 'devis'.
    It is a must see place for all Hindus.
    It is on Chatikara-Vrindavan road, about half KM from Chatikara.

    2- Akshaya Patra
    In June 2000, The Akshaya Patra Foundation started the mid-day meal programme in Bangalore, Karnataka. Today, through the partnership with the Government of India and various State Governments, as well as philanthropic donors; the organisation runs the world’s largest mid-day meal programme. Built on a public-private partnership, Akshaya Patra combines good management, innovative technology and smart engineering to deliver a nutritious and hygienic school lunch.

    3- Prem Temple
    Prem Mandir is a religious and spiritual complex situated on a 54-acre site on the outskirts of Vrindavan, Mathura, India. It is dedicated to Shri Krishna. The temple structure was established by Fifth Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj Kripalu Maharaj.[1] The word Jagadguru (Spiritual Master of the whole world) has been around for a very long time. In fact, in the Mahabharata, Arjun called Shri Krishna Jagadguru. The foundation stone of Prem Mandir was laid on January 2001 by Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj Kripalu Maharaj[3] and the inauguration ceremony took place from 15 February to 17 February 2012.

    4- Iskcon Temple
    Dedicated to Lord Sri Krishna the ISKCON Temple belongs to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and was established personally by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder ISKCON, in 1975. The temple is dedicated to both Lord Krishna and his brother Balaram.In 1966 Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada founded the ISKCON also known as Hare Krishna movement in New York City. The core beliefs of this society are based on traditional Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita.

    5- Banke Bihari
    Bankey Bihari Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, in the holy city of Vrindavan in the Mathura district. Bankey Bihari was originally worshiped at Nidhivana. Bankey means “bent in three places” and bihari means “supreme enjoyer.” The image of Lord Krishna stands in the Tribhanga posture. Haridas Swami originally worshipped this devotional image under the name of Kunj-bihari ("Enjoyer of Lakes").This Bankey Bihari Temple was established by Swami Haridas (Lalita Sakhi in Dvapara Yuga), a guru of the famous singer Tansen. Once on the request of his disciples Swami Haridas ji sang the following verse in Nidhivan in Vrindavan " Mai ri sahaj jori pragat bhai ju rang ki gaur syam ghan damini jaisen.

    6- Nidhivan
    Nidhivan Temple is the most religious, famous and mysterious place in the Vrindavan, the paavan city of India. The temple is associated with many interesting myths and stories. It is believed that in the temple Thakurji comes after nightfall and perform his spiritual activities (Lilas) with Radha ji and all his gopis.There is also a small mandir that is known as the Rang - Mahal, the Shringar-ghar of Radharani. Inside this, a bed is kept for Radha-Krishna to rest. It is also believed that here Shri Krishna decorates Radharani.

    7- Govind DevJi Temple
    According to the legend, the Image of Lord Govind Devji was also called "Bajrakrit"- indicating thereby that it was created by Bajranabh - The Great Grand Son of Lord Krishna.

    8-Rang Ji Temple
    Sri Rangji Mandir is dedicated to Lord Sri Goda-Rangamannar. Goda or Andal as she is popularly known in South India was a famous 8th century Vaishnava saint who had composed "Tiruppuvai" which centers around her love for her beloved Lord Krishna and his leela bhoomi Vrindavan. She pines for him, fasts for him, sings songs in his praise and wants to attain him by marrying him. Lord Ranganatha who is none other than Krishna answers her prayers by becoming her bridegroom. In Sri Rangji Mandir, Lord Krishna is present as the bridegroom with a walking stick in his hand as is the custom in a traditional south Indian marriage. To his right is Andal and to his left Garuda, the vahana of Lord Krishna.

    Mathura :-

    1- Dwarikadheesh Temple
    Dwarkadhish Temple is an inexorable part of the religious shrines of Mathura.Dwarkadheesh Temple is one of the most visited shrines of Mathura. Built in 1814, Dwarkadhish Temple is said to have been constructed by Seth Gokul Das Parikh, who was the treasurer of the Gwalior Estate. He was a great devotee of Lord Krishna and erected the shrine to commemorate the deity. In the present day, Dwarikadhish Temple is administered by the followers of the Vallabhacharya sect.

    2- Birth Place of Shri Krishna
    Pickup form Delhi Visit Mathura It is an important pilgrim place of the Hindus and one of the seven sacred cities in India. The main pilgrim center in Mathura is the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple.Lord Krishna is the Supreme Person. Lord Krishna appeared over five thousand years ago in Mathura, India to Devaki and Vasudeva in the jail cell of the tyrant Kansa. The place of His birth is known as Sri Krishna Janmasthana or Birthplace of lord krishna. We start from very beginning from the birthplace of lord Krishna. Mathura is the birth place of lord Krishna. The city of Mathura is located in the western part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, in the northern region of India.

  • Day 2 : Goverdhan - Nandgaon - Barsana

    After Brake Fast Visit Goverdhan, Nandgaon, Barsana

    1-Govardhan
    Govardhan is famous for the Holy Goverdhan Hill. There are many temples in this town namely Shri Haridev ji Temple, Daan-Ghati Temple and Mukharbind Temple . The town is also famous for its 21 kilometers long Parikrama of the famous Govardhan hill. The parikrama procession is held in very high religious belief. It's said that Lord Krishna held Govardhan Hill on his little finger to save the town from wrath of the god of rains Indra.

    2- Barsana
    It is a village near Mathura. Stories from the Hindu tradition relating to the deity, Krishna indicate that his favorite gopi, known as Radha, spent her childhood in Barsana.[1] The town is thus a site of pilgrimage for many followers of Vaishnavism, and especially Gaudiya Vaishnavism which reveres Radha as the most worshippable Goddess, or Shakti.The town comes alive every Holi around March, when the Lath mar Holi is played here. Tourist from all over flock the city for what is a truly remarkable sight.

    3- Nandgaon
    Nandgaon is a religious place due to its association with the lord Krishna. It is believed that Krishna spent his childhood here and a few traces of his childhood which are mentioned in the Granthas are found here.Guru of Lord krishna sandalya muni worship the lord before the born of lord krishna. Now which place(moutain)is situated Nandgaon Temple. That is temple the family of Lord Krishna.

    1-Gokul
    This sanctified place is linked wit the childhood days of Lord Krishna who was raised here furtively. The place is also noticeable for his mischievous activities and amorous acts that performed in his early years. The incident of killing of Putna is well known. This particular event made Gokul a popular place among the devotees. It was at this place only that he met love of his life in form of Radha. He even divulged the secret of his divine powers to his mother here.

    2-Sikandara
    the mausoleum of Emperor Akbar. The third Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great (1555 - 1605), himself commenced its construction in around 1600, according to Tartary tradition to commence the construction of one's tomb during one's lifetime. Akbar himself planned his own tomb and selected a suitable site for it. After his death, Akbar's son Jahangir completed the construction in 1605-1613. Akbar was one of the greatest emperors in the history of India.

    3-Taj Mahal
    Thereafter, proceed to visit Taj Mahal By Tonga Ride (Horse Driven Cart) - A Symbol Of Eternal Love, Which Stands On The Banks Of River Yamuna. It Was Built By The 5Th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan In The Year 1631 In Memory Of His Wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It Was Completed In 22 Years.

    4- Red Fort
    the tour by visiting the Agra Fort - containing the Royal residential palaces, the Halls of Public and Private Audience and beautiful gardens. The Red Fort was the residence of the Mughal emperor of India for nearly 200 years, until 1857. It is located in the centre of Delhi and houses a number of museums. In addition to accommodating the emperors and their households, it was the ceremonial and political centre of Mughal government and the setting for events critically impacting the region.
