Day 1 : Paro to Thimphu
On a clear day, the flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. You will see major Himalayan peaks such as Everest, Kanchenjunga and Makalu, and then on the final approach to Paro Bhutan’s own snowy peaks, Chomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tserimgang will come into view. Bhutan’s first gift to you as you disembark from the aircraft will be cool, clean fresh mountain air. You are welcome by your team escort from Bhutan View Tours & Travels and after completion of arrival formalities, drive to Thimphu, Check in hotel and if the time permits Drive on to the BBS Tower Viewpoint for a stunning view of the valley. From here, take a visit to Takin Preserve to see Takin, Bhutan’s national animal.

Day 2 : Thimphu Sight seeing
After breakfast sightseeing in capital city. Visit memorial Chorten built in 1974 in memory of the late third King of Bhutan Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.Visit Tashi Choe Dzong The fortress of the glorious religion was initially constructed in 1641 and rebuilt by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk in the 1960s. Tashi Choe Dzong houses His Majesty’s secretariat, ministers’ office, and the Central Monk Body. Visit National Library, Traditonal medicine center and Institute for Arts and Crafts.
After Lunch visit National Heritage museum, National Handicraft center, Changangkha Monastery built in 12th Century and Simtokha Dzong the first fort built by Zhabdrung Ngwang Namgyel in 1629.

Day 3 : Thimphu to Punakha
After breakfast, we begin our drive to Punakha. On the way, a drive takes us all the way up to Dochu La (3050m) to witness the magnificent view of the eastern Himalayan range (weather permitting). Dochu La is marked with 108 stupas built in memory of soldiers who lost their lives during military action against Assamese rebels and also visit Druk wangyel lhakang. Drive continouse to Punaka With thick vegetation and beautiful paddy fields, Punakha is one of the most beautiful valley in Bhutan. Visit PunakhaDzong built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1638 at the confluence of Phochu (Male) and Mochu (female) rivers.

Day 4 : Punakha-Trongsa-Bumthang
Start early fabulous drive to the central valley of Bhutan. The drive to Bumthang Via Trongsa is approximately Seven Hours crossing over Pele la pass(3,300M) and Yotongla pass(3, 400 M). On the way visit ChendebjiChorten the replica chorten of Bodhinath Chorten in Nepal. Your lunch is arranged in the cafeteria near by the chorten.
Visit Trongsa Ta Dzong museum on the way. Once you reach chumey valley just below Yongtong La pass you will see weaving center shops by the sides of the road. Stop there to have a look at the hand woven Yathra clothes and beautiful women weaving.

Day 5 : Bumthang Sight Seeing
Bumthang one of the most holy place in Bhutan blessed by 2nd Buddha Guru Rimpoche and many other saints has many places to visit. Start your day with a visit to JambeyLhakhang built in 7th Century by king Songtsen Goempo of Tibet. KurjeeLhakhang temple built in 8th century is only few km away. Visit Jakar Dzong built in 1667, Tamshing Lhakhang built in 15th century and interesting agricultural factory which produces fruit alcohol, fruit juices, wheat beers, honey wine and dairy products.

Day 6 : Bumthang-Gangtey
After breakfast we drive back to wangdue via Gangtey and over the pelela Pass. The drive is approximately six and half hours, climbing steadily through semi-tropical vegetation with and alpine environment of rhododendrons and dwarf bamboo. Gantey lies towards the east of punakha and wangdue on the flakes of the black Mountains. There is an old monastery of Gangtey gompa dating back to the 17th Century. A few kilometers pass the gompa on the valley floor is the fascinating valley of Phobjikha. The gently sloping hill sides of phobjikha is described as the most beautiful valley in Himalayas. This is the winter home of black necked cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north to pass winter in milder and lower climates. After the visit to gangtey continue wangdue.

Day 7 : Wangdue to Paro
Drive to Paro pass dochula and on the way to paroVisit Tachogang Lhakhang which is built by Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo is located on the way to Paro valley, and one must actually cross one of Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo bridges to get to the Dzong.
After lunch visit great views of Ta Dzong and Paro Rinpung Dzong. Enroute, visit the iconic 17th century Paro Rinpung Dzong which means “the fortress of the heap of jewels.”

Day 8 : Paro Hike to Taktsang monastery (Tiger nest)
Your day start with the excursion hike to famous Taktsang monastery located on a cliff 3000ft above Paro valley. After breakfast drive to the starting point of the hike from the hotel.
Taktsang (tigers nest) was first blessed by Guru Rimpoche when he visited the place riding on a flying tigress in 8th century. Guru Rimpoche is believed to be meditated in this cave for three months. Later Gyalse Tenzin Rabgye, 4th Druk Desi built a monastery on the same location.
The hike is around three hours walk to the monastery, plus two and half hours visiting around with lunch hour and one hour way back to the road head.
On the way back from hike you can visit kichu Lhakhang which is one of Bhutan's oldest and most beautiful temples.

Day 9 : Departure
After breakfast in the hotel, drive to the airport in time to catch your onward flight. Your escort from Bhutan View Tours & Travels will escort your group till the Flight departure.
