Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Paro

  Arrival in Paro by Flight. Pick up from the Airport.
  Enjoy the beauty of lushly green valley and the traditional food of Bhutan. You can visit National Museum and Paro Dzong. Overnight stay.

• Day 2 : Paro

  Full day sight-seeing.
  You the option to hike or go for the horse ride to the Taktsang Monastery. Taktsang means 'The Tiger's Nest'. This Monastery is perched on a rocky mountain at an altitude of nearly 4000 feet. You can also visit other exciting places of interest. Overnight stay.
• Day 3 : Thimpu

  Drive to Thimpu. After lunch, visit to the nearby location within Thimpu city. Overnight stay.
• Day 4 : Thimpu

  Full day sight-seeing.
  Visit The Memorial Chorten, National Library, The indigenous Hospitals where traditional medicines are still practiced, Handicraft Emporium where Bhutanese Textiles are displayed for sale, Woodcraft and Painting Schools which still preserves the traditional Art & Craft, Tashicho Dzong - the main Secretariat building, the office of the King and the Throne room; Simtokha Dzong - one of the oldest fortress of Bhutan built in 1629 A.D which houses the largest Monastic schools of Bhutan. Overnight stay.
• Day 5 : Punakha

  After early breakfast drive to Punakha district located 77 km away. On the way we will cross Dochula Pass (3150 Sq.m) (If the weather is suitable). This Pass offers one of the most spectacular views of Eastern Himalayan Ranges. We will grab the Lunch in Punakha. After lunch we drive Throngsa. On the way we will come across Yak herder's camp and also have a spectacular view of high altitude Himalayan villages like Rukubji and Chendebji. Overnight stay.
• Day 6 : Kuenga Rabten

  After early breakfast we will visit Kuenga Rabten. This trip can be an excursion trip for the travelers. Kuenga Rabten was a winter palace of Jigme Wangchuk, the second King of Bhutan. This trip offers you an intimate insight of the early Bhutan's' Monarchy. Also visit Throngsa Dzong. In the evening drive up to Bumthang. This route passes by Yotong La pass (3400 Sq.m), which is the highest pass on your trip to Bhutan. Overnight stay.
• Day 7 : Discover Bumthang

  Bumthang valley a paradise for the trekkers/Hikers ranges from 2600 Sq.m to 4000 Sq.m in altitudes. Take a short hike to Tamshing Monastery. Visit Wandi Chholing palace, Jambay Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang - one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan. In Bumthang almost every hills has an interesting background of Myths and Legends. Further move towards Jakar. Overnight stay.
• Day 8 : Jakar - Nagang Lhakhang

  The trek route from Jakar to Nagang Lhakhang (2900 Sq.m) follows the Chamkhar Chu, many villages and Temples. Nagang Lhakhang means 'The Land of Swans'. Overnight stay in Camp.
• Day 9 : Ugyencholling

  Today you will trek to Ugyencholling (2850 Sq.m). This trail gradually ascends passing through the Juniper forest until you reach Phe-Phe-La Pass (3340 Sq.m) then starts descending towards the Tang valley. Overnight stay in Camp.
• Day 10 : Ugyenchholing - Jakar - Tang Chu

  In morning take a short hike to Ugyenchholing Dzonga and then drive to Jakar following Tang Chu. On the way visit the sacred lake Tang Mebartsho- a burning lake. It is said that the Terton Pema Lingpa, the reincarnation of Guru Padmasambva discovered the religious treasure during the 12thCentury. Then proceed towards Bumthang. Overnight stay.
• Day 11 : Gangtey - Wangdue

  Today you will visit Gangtey gomba in Gangtey. This Monastery is located in the small hillock surrounded by the blue pine trees and founded by the Pema Lingpa. Further on we will reach Phobjikha valley. This place is reserved for the Black-necked Crane. Have lunch and drive to Wangdue. Overnight stay.
• Day 12 : Paro

  Today take a short hike to the Divine Mad man Monastery. Buddhist considers it to be the land of fertility. Many couples trying for a child comes here to offer a pray for a child. Later drive to Paro. Overnight stay.
• Day 13 : Departure

  Drive to Paro airport. Departure time.
