The Cape Town Great Wine and Food Tour - A relaxed itinerary where you can enjoy Master Wine Tasting of eight specially selected wines paired with cheese from the estate OR do a Cellar Tour followed by your choice of a specialist pairing of Brandy & Chocolate, Sparkling Wine & Nougat, Sweet Wine & Cake to mention a few. Then indulge yourself with a taste of traditional cuisine to enhance your selected wines.

A relaxed itinerary to enjoy Great Wines and Great Food in the Cape Winelands.

10:00am: A relaxed start to your day when we pick you up at your hotel in Cape Town. Our route takes us through the very new wine region of Durbanville Hills before we leave the city and arrive on the slopes of Paarl Mountain where we enjoy a Master Wine Tasting presented by your personal sommelier. Sample eight different wines paired with cheese made on the estate. Alternatively, as a Private Tour you may choose to do a Cellar Tour followed by a Specialist Pairing.

You have the opportunity to browse through the shop to buy the locally produced Cheese and Olive products before we enjoy a Bistro lunch in the estate restaurant.

Our Journey takes us on to the Franschhoek Valley and we stop en-route at the “gates of freedom” where the undisputed Father of the nation Mr Nelson Mandela took his first steps into freedom. The French Huguenot families settled in the Franschhoek Valley as far back as 1688 having fled the religious persecution in their homeland. Many of the farm and place names reflect the rich French Heritage of the area.

We visit the majestic Huguenot Monument and award winning Estate Cellars before we drive through the quaint Village of Pniel to our next wine tasting venue at a very old family owned wine cellar to taste the award winning wines and catch up with the stories of forbidden love that is an integral part of the cellar.

After all this amazing wine we visit the historical city of Stellenbosch for a brief orientation tour and we have time to explore the beautiful town center with unique shops lining the narrow streets.

For the last highlight of our day, we go to a renowned venue in either Stellenbosch or Constantia wine regions for an included three course dinner.
