Guests are met upon arrival at the Cape Town International Airport their African Express Tours and Safaris tour guide. From the airport guests will make their way to Cape Town – South Africa’s “Mother City”. The afternoon will be devoted to exploring Table Mountain. A short cable car ride will take guests to the top of the mountain with breath-taking views of the city, Robben Island and the Peninsula.

Boulders Beach – African Penguin
Breakfast will be followed by a breath-taking drive, known as the Chapman’s Peak Drive. This drive hugs the near-vertical face of Chapman’s Peak, from Hout Bay to Noordhoek. Cut into the face of the mountain between 1915 and 1922, the road was at that time regarded as a major feat of engineering. The road leads to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. In the nature reserve we visit Cape Point, where the stormy waters of the Atlantic are met by the calming influence of the Indian Ocean. On the return journey to Cape Town we visit the towns of Simonstown and Muizenberg, both set along the shores of the Indian Ocean. On our way to Cape Town a visit is also made to Boulders Beach, an attractive secluded haven comprising a tumble of huge round rocks on a sandy shore. The boulders are ideal vantage points to watch the antics of the colony of mainland-based African penguins.
Day 3 : CAPE TOWN

Depart for Hout Bay after breakfast to do a 45-minute boat cruise to Duiker Island to observe thousands of seals playing and feeding. Visit the amazing Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens who only grows indigenous South African plants. The cultivated garden (36 hectares) displays collections of South African plants, particularly those from the winter rainfall region of the country. The afternoon, we visit the world heritage site of Robben Island, the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years.
Day 4 : CAPE TOWN

A 40 minute drive will lead guests to the heart of the Cape Winelands. Guest’s first stop will be at one of the oldest vineyards – Vergelegen. Vergelegen has a rich history dating back to the 16th century. Time will be devoted to explore the estate with some wine tasting. The Franschhoek Valley and the town of Franschhoek will be guests’ next stop. Time will be devoted to exploring the town, visiting the French Huguenot Monument and some wine tasting. Guests will return to their hotel during the late afternoon.
Day 5 : PHELWANA GAME LODGE

Guests will be met and transferred to the Cape Town International Airport for their flight departing for the town of Hoedspruit. Upon arrival at the Hoedspruit Airport guests will be met by their guide. A 45 Minute drive will bring guests to the Phelwana Safari Lodge situated in the greater Kruger National Park. When entering the reserve guests will make their way slowly to their overnight camp. After check-in and settling in, guests can join the other guests on their first afternoon bush walk in search of African Wildlife.
Day 6 : KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

A day in the Kruger National Park starts early morning, after your wakeup call go for a safari in the Kruger National Park. Setting out early improves your chances or seeing more animals. Many animals are most active early morning or late afternoon. The Kruger National Park offers magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. Hopefully we will see at least one of the “Big Five” today – Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino. Enjoy breakfast at one of the many locations in the Park .We also enjoy lunch in the Park after which we return to the camp for dinner and savor a nightcap around a cozy campfire.
Day 7 : KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

We depart on an early morning game drive in Manyeleti which is a private concession in Kruger Park, offering magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. Hopefully we will see at least one of the Big Five today – Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino, before returning to camp for breakfast.The rest of the morning is free for relaxing at camp or beside the swimming pool. Alternatively, you can enjoy a guided walk with a lodge ranger, to study some of the smaller animals, insects and trees of the park.In the afternoon, enjoy another open vehicle safari drive with your ranger. With nearly 150 different species of mammals and over 100 species of reptiles in the Kruger National Park (Manyeleti), we hope to see hippos, crocodiles, cheetah, giraffe, kudu, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons, wild dogs and a wide variety of other interesting animals.
Day 8 : DEPARTURE
Breakfast will be followed by a slow transfer to a local airport from where a 90minute flight will bring guests to the OR Tambo International Airport after a memorable safari in the Greater Kruger National Park.
