Central Bhutan Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Paro and drive to Thimphu

  On your arrival you will be greeted by our representative and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. After lunch you will visit memorial chorten, textile meusume, Trashing choedzong , evening stroll freely in the town. Over night stay at hotel Migmar.
• Day 2 : Thimphu

  After breakfast you will visit Buddha point, zoo where you can see our national animal Takin, painting school, traditional hospital and folk heritage muesume. After lunch you will hike to wangdi tsey goemba for one and half hours. Overnight same hotel.
• Day 3 : Thimphu to Punakha

  After early break fast you will drive to Punakha. Today you will cross Dochula pass(3140m) and on clear day you will see the Himalayas covered with the snow. You can go and enjoy hot cup of tea at Dochula cafeteria. After tea you can continue your drive to Punakha. Before you reach Punakha you will stop at mitsena and hike to Chimmi Lakhang, after lunch you will visit Punakha Dzong, and evening you can stroll in Punakha town. Over night hotel at Punakha.
• Day 4 : Punakha to Bumthang

  After early Breakfast you will start your drive to Bumthang. You will reach Pelela pass( 3300m) and stop for few minutes for the photo and stretch your muscle. Your next stop will be at chendabjee for lunch. After lunch driving for an 2hrs you will reach Trongsa, you will visit Trongsa Dzong, and then continue your drive to Bumthang. On the way you will cross Yontongla pass(3450m) and after pass you will enter in to Bumthang region. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang.
• Day 5 : Bumthang

  Today you will visit Kurjey Lakhang, where Guru Rinpochee left his body imprints inside cave. You will also visit Jambay lakhang, Tamshing lakhang, Jakarta Dzong. After lunch you will drive to mebartsho( Burning Lake) where Terton Pema lingpa discovered Treasure from that lake. Evening you can stroll freely in the town. Overnight same hotel.
• Day 6 : Bumthang to Wangdue

  Today after early breakfast you drive to Wangdue. On the way you will visit Phobjikha valley. This valley is one of the most beautiful glacial valley. It is also a winter roosting place for Black neck crane. You can visit black neck crane information centre. After that you can continue your drive to Wangdue. Overnight at Wangdue.
• Day 7 : Wangdue to Paro

  After breakfast you will drive to Paro. You will stop in Thimphu for Lunch. After lunch you will continue your drive to Paro. You will visit Kichu lakhang, oldest temple built during 7th century by Tibetain king Tshongsen Gyenp, Paro museum , evening you can walk in the town. Overnight in hotel
• Day 8 : Paro

  After early Breakfast you will hike to Tiger nest. During 8th century Guru Rinpoche came and meditated there for three month. Your lunch will be served at cafeteria. After tiger nest you will visit Drukgyel Dzong, (Victory fort)built to commemorate victory against Tibetain invaders during 1600s. This Dzong was built in 1649. Later it was burned by the fire. Overnight in hotel.
• Day 9 : Departure

  After you breakfast our representative will bid you a farewell.
