Day 1 : Arrival Delhi & depart to Chandigarh (260 kms)
Pick up from airport and direct drive to Chandigarh: The dream city of Sh. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Picturesquely located at the foothills of Shivaliks, it is known as one of the best experiments in urban planning and modern architecture in the twentieth century in India. Enroute visit Kurukshetra (The land of radiance and where Bhagavatgita was preached to Arjuna by Lord shri Krishna) Night stay in Chandigarh.
Day 2 : Local site seeing and departure to manali(400 kms)
Amongst the must visit places in Chandigarh is the monumental Capitol Complex at Sector 1 & The Rock Garden: Spread over 12 acres of wooded land. After lunch depart to Manali (2050 m above sea level) According to myth, Manu the divine law-giver, was the only survivor of the Mahajal Pralay - the great flood - and is said to have fathered the human race. Manali still maintains its charm and beauty. With the majestic grandeur of the Himalayas on one side, river Beas cutting across the town, verdant valleys with rolling meadows and grazing herds dotting the hillsides, apple orchards and the folk music adding romance to the ambience. Night stay at Manali.
Day 3 : Day trip to Rohtang Pass
The highest point (4,112m) on the Manali-Keylong road, 51-km from Manali town. It provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds, which is a sight truly breath-taking. It offers only limited skiing opportunities, but trekking possibilities are immense. The pass is open from June to September, although trekkers can cross the pass from May. Beyond Rohtang pass lies the remote and, perhaps, the stark and haunting landscape of predominantly Buddhist areas. The comparative inaccessibility of the place has helped preserve the pristine culture of the people of the region. Night stay in the same hotel.
Day 4 : Local site seeing of Manali
Manali has many attractions but the chief centre of interest, historically and archeologically is undoubtedly the DHOONGRI TEMPLE: Dedicated to goddess Hidimba. (Mahabharat fame) MANU TEMPLE: 3 kms from the main bazar in old Manali lies the temple of MANU RISHI. It is believed that this is the only temple of Manu in India. TIBETAN MONASTERIES: There are 3 newly constructed colorful monasteries, where visitors can buy carpets and other Tibetan handicrafts & Vasista hot springs etc night stay in the same hotel.
Day 5 : Departure to Shimla enroute visit Kullu Valley
The Silver Valley Kullu(45 kms) was once known as “Kulanthpitha”, which means the end of the habitable world. Beyond rose the forbidding heights of the Greater Himalayas, and by the banks of the shining river Beas, lay the fabled 'Silver Valley' of Kulu. The places of visit here are Raghunathji Temple & Bijli Mahadev temple. Depart to shimla (2,213 meters above sea level) along with the Pine forests, apple orchards, crisp, clean air and breathtaking views all along the way. Can visit the places like Mall: The Main shopping centre. Christ Church: The second oldest church in Northern India which has a very majestic appearance in the evening and night stay.
Day 6 : Shimla Sightseeing and departure to Delhi
After breakfast visit the Jakhu Hill: The highest peak which offers a beautiful view of the town and of the snow-covered Himalayas. At the top of the Hill, is an old temple of Hanuman. Travel to Kufri and visit the Himalayan Nature Park: Which has a collection of animals and birds found only in Himachal Pradesh. Indira Tourist Park: Which provides panoramic view of the locations around Kufri. After a late lunch departure to Delhi and drop at hotel for night stay.
Day 7 : Check out
Check out the hotel before 12 noon and drop at Airport / Train station.
