Char Dham Yatra - Yamunotri | Gangotri | Kedarnath | Badrinath

Package Overview

The Garwal Region of Uttarakhand is home to the Char Dham Yatra's Four Major Temples: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The Hindu religion holds high regard for all of these places. Every Hindu's deepest aspiration is to make at least one pilgrimage to the sacred sites in order to find salvation. The Char Dham Yatra usually starts in the months of April and May and lasts through October and November. The Kedar-Badri Mandir Samiti announces the start of the Char Dham Yatra just before Akshaya Tritiya.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pick Up From Haridwar Railway Station (180 Kms. 6 - 7 Hrs. Travelling to Barkot)

  Start your journey from Haridwar's railway station to Barkot. On arrival, check in at the hotel and take a welcome drink (non-alcoholic) and take some rest, have dinner, and spend the night at the Barkot hotel.

• Day 2 : Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot (45 Kms. Drive and 6 Kms Trek One Way)

  Early morning, after breakfast, start the yatra to Yamunotri. Drive to Jankichatti, and then your trek starts from here to Yamunotri (6 Kms.). After arriving at Yamunotri, take a bath in Surya Kund, and then go for darshan of Yamuna Ji. Later, drive back to Barkot. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.

• Day 3 : Barkot to Uttarkashi (80 Kms. 3 - 4 Hrs. Travelling to Uttarkashi)

  After breakfast, move to Uttarkashi. In Uttarkashi, you can visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva); after that, check in at the hotel and take a rest. Dinner and overnight stay at the Uttarkashi hotel.

• Day 4 : Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (98 Kms. 4 - 5 Hrs. Travelling to Gangotri One Way)

  Early morning after breakfast, start the yatra to Gangotri. On the way, visit Gangnani, which is the hot water spring at Gangnani, take a dip in Kund, and then drive to Gangotri. After arriving at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the River Ganga and then perform Pooja and Darshan. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. Dinner and overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

• Day 5 : Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (220 Kms. 7 - 8 Hrs. Travelling to Guptkashi)

  After breakfast, move to Guptkashi. Leave early in the morning for an all-day journey to Guptkashi. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the Guptkashi hotel.

• Day 6 : Guptkashi to Kedarnath (35 Kms. Drive and 16 Kms. Trek From One Way)

  Early in the morning, after breakfast, go to Kedarnath. To reach Kedarnath by trekking route, first you have to reach Gaurikund. You will drive to Sonprayag early in the morning. Our car will drop you off in Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, a 5-kilometre drive to Gaurikund by local jeep is available. (These Jeeps can be booked directly by guests at their own cost.) Gaurikund to Kedarnath is a further 16-kilometre trek. Due to the long trek, guests need to start very early in the morning. Get a packed breakfast from the hotel to start early. Horses, ponies, Palki are also available for trekking at Gaurikund. Guests can book it at their own cost. Visit Kedarnath Temple. Overnight stay at Kedarnath (basic accommodation without meal).

• Day 7 : Kedarnath to Guptkashi (35 Kms. Drive and 16 Kms. Trek From One Way)

  Early morning trek down to Gaurikund. Take a Jeep to Sonprayag at your own cost. Our driver will pick you up from Sonprayag and take you to your hotel. There is a big parking issue, so the driver will park the vehicle at another location. If his contact number is not working, you will have to arrange for another taxi or wait for your driver. Dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

• Day 8 : Guptkashi to Badrinath (195 Kms. 6 - 7 Hrs. Travelling to Badrinath)

  After breakfast, start the yatra for Badrinath. On arrival in Badrinath, check in at the hotel. After having bathed in Tapt-Kund, have darshan of Badrivishal and perform Aarti in the evening. You can also visit Mana village and Vyas Gufa as per time and comfort. Dinner and overnight stay at the Badrinath hotel.

• Day 9 : Badrinath to Rudraprayag (160 Kms. 5 - 6 Hrs. Travelling to Rudraprayag)

  After breakfast, drive to Rudraprayag. On the way, visit Vishnuprayag, Karnprayag, and Nandprayag as per time and comfort. On arrival in Rudraprayag, check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the Rudraprayag hotel.

Cancellation Policy

• No cancellation charge if booking is cancelled 20 days prior to the date of arrival.
• 50% of the total package will be charged if booking is cancelled between 20 to 15 days of arrival.
• 65% of the total package will be charged if booking is cancelled between 15 to 7 days of arrival.
• 100% amount will be charged if booking is cancelled within 7 days of arrival.
