Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Haridwar

  On arrival check in the hotel.
  After refreshment, visit Mansa Devi temple or Chandi Devi temple.
  In the evening attend holy Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri Ghat.
  Later back to hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Haridwar.

• Day 2 : Day 2:Haridwar-Barkot (180km/5-6hr)

  Pickup from Haridwar and drive to Barkot.
  On the way visit Kempty Fall and after that drive straight to Barkot.
  On arrival check in to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.

• Day 3 : Day 3: Barkot -Yamunotri- Barkot (36 km drive & 6 kms Trek – each side)

  Post breakfast, checkout and drive to Jankichatti (aka Phool chatti). Upon arrival at Jankichatti, begin your trek to Yamunotri (6 kms). You can choose to go by walk, by horse or by doli at own cost. At Yamunotri, you can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamnabai Kund's warm water and having "Darshan" of the pious "Yamunaji" return to Jankichatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.
  Yamunotri Temple. Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and built again.
  Surya Kund. There are many thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
  Divya Shila. A rock pillar, worshiped before entering Yamunotri Temple.

• Day 4 : Day 4: Barkot - Uttarkashi (100km/4hr)

  Post breakfast, checkout and drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Vishwanath Temple. Later check in the hotel. Rest day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Uttarkashi.
  Uttarkashi. Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi.
  The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected.

• Day 5 : Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100km/3-4hr – each side)

  Post breakfast, checkout and proceed to Gangotri (at the height of 3048m). Enroute enjoy the picturesque views of Harsil Valley, Bhagirathi River and the most breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After Gangotri darshan, return to the hotel in Uttarkashi. Dinner and overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
  Gangotri Temple: The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of the Bhagirathi River.
  Kedar Ganga Sangam: Around 100 Yards from Ganga Temple, flows the river Kedar Ganga. Starting from Kedar Valley, this river meets the Bhagirathi River on its left bank.

• Day 6 : Day 6: Uttarkashi -Guptkashi (220 km/8-9hr)

  Wake up early morning, post breakfast checkout and drive straight to Guptkashi.
  Check in the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Guptkashi.

• Day 7 : Day 7: Guptkashi – Kedarnath - Guptkashi

  Post breakfast, checkout and Fly to Kedarnath. At Kedarnath Temple, everyone is allowed to go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostate with your head touching the deity etc. Fly back to Guptkashi, Check-in the hotel, dinner and overnight at Guptkashi.
  Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption.

• Day 8 : Day 8: Guptkashi – Joshimath-Pandukeswar/Govindghat –Badrinath (218 km/7-8hr)

  Post breakfast, checkout and drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Check in the hotel. Later in the evening, attend aarti at the Badrinath Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Badrinath.
  Badrinath: One of the 'Four Dhams' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus, the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries".
  Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the banks of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
  Brahama Kapal: A flat platform on the banks of the river Alaknanda. Hindus perform propitiatory rites of their deceased ancestors here.
  Mata Murti Temple: Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinath Ji.
  Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple, and Charan Paduka.

• Day 9 : Day 9: Badrinath – Rudraprayag (165 km/7hr)

  Early morning, after having a bath in the Tapt Kund, have the Darshan of Badrivishal.
  Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus).
  Later, drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath.
  Check-in the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay at Rudraprayag.
