Sacred Heart Cathedral
Sacred Heart Cathedral, Chiang Mai is located at Chang Klarn Sub District, Muang District, on the west side of Ping River, Chiang Mai. It was first established in 1931 by the will of Pastor Gorge Merabell and a Thai monk named Nicholas. At first, the Sacred Heart church was just a little wooden dwelling that was made in the purpose of being a place for religious activities for Christian who lives in Chiang Mai or in the north of Thailand. But, later, it had been renovated from time to time.

Wat Chiang Man
The oldest temple in Chiang Mai town, Wat Chiang Man was built in 1296 by King Mengrai of Lanna kingdom. The temple is famous for its Lanna-style chedi supported by rows of elephant-shaped buttresses. The beautiful Lanna-style ordination hall enshrines an ancient Buddha image named Phra Kaew Khao, revered by Chiang Mai locals. Wat Chiang Man is situated off of Ratchapakhinai Road in the northeast corner of the old city.

Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara
“Luang” means “large” in northern dialect, and as the name suggests, Wat Chedi Luang temple is home to Chiang Mai’s largest Buddhist chedi built featuring 98 meters tall and 54 meters in diameter. The construction of the orginal chedi was completed in 1481 during the reign of King Mengrai. But the current Chedi Luang is an restoration according to the deconstruction of the chedi in 1545 due to an earthquake. The ordination hall located in the front is also an example of beautiful Lanna architecture with its serpents are probably one of the most remembered elements.

Wat Phra Sing
Located on Sam Lan Road, Wat Phra Sing’s Wihan Lai Kham is home to Phra Phutthasihing, Chiang Mai’s most sacred, Chiang sean-style Buddha image. During the Songkran festival, every April 13-15, Phra Phutthasihing is carried in a parade procession around town so locals can bath the image with scented water, which brings good luck according to a traditional belief.

Wat Chedi Jed Yord
Officially named Wat Photaram MahaWihan, Wat Chedi Chet Yot (a temple with seven pinnacles) is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Chiang Mai, believed to be built in circa 1455. The temple is best known for a cluster of seven stupas: the main stupa was influenced by Buddha Gaya Stuapa in India, surrounded by six smaller stupas. The main stupa also contains ashes of Tilokkarat, a king of Mengrai Dynasty who built this temple. Getting there: Wat Chedi Chet Yot is located on the Super Highway (Chiang Mai-Lampang), 4 kilometres from Chiang Mai town.

Wat Lok Moolee
Just outside the old walled city center of Chiang Mai, the Wat Lok Molee is of the city’s older temples. The temple that is also known as the Wat Lok Moli holds one of the largest and most impressive chedis in Chiang Mai. It is likely that the first structures were built during the 14th century. The temple was probably a Royal Wat, since the Kings of the Mengrai dynasty maintained the temple. King Kuena who ruled Lanna during the second half of the 14th century is said to have invited a number of monks from present day Myanmar to Chiang Mai to spread the teachings of the Buddha. During their stay in Chiang Mai the monks lived in the Wat Lok Molee temple. The massive chedi of the Wat Molee was built in 1527 when it must have dominated the area. The chedi contains the ashes of several Kings of the Mengrai dynasty, who ruled the Lanna Kingdom from the end of the 13th century until 1558 when the Burmese invaded the Kingdom.All the other things are not stated in the part of inclusions
