On arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will be waiting outside the customs area to welcome you and take you to your hotel. Beijing is
also known as Peking, is a metropolis in northern China, and the capital of the People's Republic of China. The Encyclopedia Britannica
describes it as "one of the world's great cities”.
Day 3 : Beijing City Tour Guided City Tour. Tiananmen Square - the Forbidden City - the Chinese Imperial
After a buffet breakfast, we take you on a city tour of Beijing conducted by an English speaking guide. Pick up from your hotel at 8:30 am.
First visit Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square is the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the biggest square in the world as well. The
square can hold about one million people for public celebration or gatherings. On the west of Tiananmen Square it is the Great Hall of the
People, the meeting place of national people's congress of the People's Republic of China. There are Monument to the People's Heroes
and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum on the south. On the east of Tiananmen Square is The National Museum of China, and visiting the
exhibition is like reading concise China General History. Then move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City" the
largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history. It is symbolic center of the Chinese universe and a lasing
monument of dynastic China, from which 24 emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties ruled the Middle Kingdom for nearly 500 years
(1420-1911). Proceed to the Temple of Heaven (1.5 hours), the place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. It is located in
the southern part of Beijing, and had been one of the most holy places for the whole country for more than five centuries. It used as a
complex of sacrificial buildings for the Ming and Qing emperors. Then visit a Silk Factory, where you can bargain for silk products and China's
traditional silk arts. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, one of China's largest imperial gardens. Summer Palace was originally a
royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty, Its predecessor was the Garden of Clear Ripples (Qingyiyuan)
started in 1750 and burned down by the British and French allied troops in 1860. Fresh-water pearl market for a good bargain not to be
missed. Night in Beijing.
Day 4 : Great Wall of China - Ming Tombs - Olympic Game Park - Jade Factory
After breakfast, you take a drive to the northwest of Beijing to visit the Sacred Way of Ming Tombs - the mausoleums of 13 emperors,
regarded as China's finest example of imperial tomb architecture. Situated in a peaceful valley, the site was chosen by the Ming emperors
as their burial place for its auspicious Fengshui alignment—a ridge of mountains to the north cradles the tombs on three sides, opening to
the south and protecting the dead from the evil spirits carried on the north wind. Here you will walk along the elegant Sacred Way that leads
to the tombs. Beginning with a grand marble gateway more than 400 years old, the long avenue is lined with 36 massive stone sculptures
of officials, lions, elephants, camels and mythical beasts. Lunch stop at a local jade workshop, afterwards, you take a scenic drive through
the countryside and mountains to reach China's most renowned monument— the Great Wall. Since the Great Wall is the single greatest
attraction of China travel, we take you to the less-visited and more original Mutianyu section and try to avoid other sections which are the
most accessible and consequently the most crowded. The wall was begun in the 5th century BC to keep out foreign invaders. Construction
continued for centuries, eventually linking up the walls of the former independent kingdoms. The Great Wall meanders through China's
northern mountain ranges from the Yellow Sea to the Gobi Desert—a distance of over 3500 miles! Chairman Mao once said "You
haven't walked on the Wall, you haven't been a good Chinese".
