Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chopta - Chandrashila Trek: Ukhimath (1310m) To Deoria Tal (2387m)

  We begin our journey here with a visit to Ukhimath's famous Omkareshwar temple. After the temple visit, we set on an eastward trail through the town, up the hill to Deoria Tal (2387m). The 8 km trek takes us through rhodendrons, lush green surroundings and scenic views of the snow-capped mountains. Deoria Tal is a small lake with two tea shops around it. The views of the mountain ranges from here are fabulous. A cup of tea by the lake is bliss by all means. Transportation from Rishikesh to Ukhimath is not included in the itinerary, but can be arranged at additional costs.

• Day 2 : Chopta - Chandrashila Trek: Deoria Tal - Chopta Village (2600m)

  After breakfast, we set on a trail through through some beautiful forest and meadows to the unspoiled beauty of Chopta village. Expect your trails to be sheathed with snow, if it's winter. There are two camping options, either camp short of Chopta near a steam, or at the meadows. During winters, Chopta resembles no less than a mini-Switzerland.

• Day 3 : Chopta - Chandrashila Trek: Hike to Tungnath Temple (3400m) & Chandrashila (3925m)

  Post Breakfast, we leave behind the amazing views at Chopta for more magical ones and take the steady uphill path to Tungnath temple. Tungnath is a short 3 km trek from Chopta. The temple is only visible in the last few hundred metres. From the temple, we head up to Chandrashila peak - the summit of Tungnath. Enjoy the beautiful 360-degree views, before heading down Chopta again and finally to Duggalbitta where we set up camp.

• Day 4 : Chopta - Chandrashila Trek: Drive to Kaudiyala Campsite

  Today we'll leave on a 7 hour drive to Kaudiyala. We reach Kaudiyala by evening and set up camp.

• Day 5 : Chopta - Chandrashila Trek: White Water Rafting from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh

  After breakfast, we indulge in a rafting session on the river Ganga. The stretch takes us through some challenging rapids from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh - where our journey ends.
