Andamans islands: a diving experience
Still less visited, this paradisaical archipelago will reveal its magnificent sand beaches, splendid coral reefs and an underwater world of an exceptional diversity. Also known for its cultural past (Bengali, Tamil, Burmese, native ethnic groups,...), Andaman shelters authentic small villages of fishermen and farmers.
Diving in Andaman is arguably one of the best experience: the rides are done in “Donguis”, traditional Burmese boats with engine. The landscapes are very varied: mangrove swamp, jungle and many luxuriant small islands... to arrive at the spot of diving where very often the only boat is yours. Spots of diving located at 45 mn - 1:30 of Havelock are numerous. No need to go down in great depths to see all that this archipelago has to offer: 50 soft and hard coral species of all colors, 10 clown-fish species, without forgetting mantas, tortoises and the peaceful silvertip and hammer-head sharks! When you meet groupers and napoleons, you are not dreaming: they are indeed huge!!!
Andaman deserves their place on the charts of international diving. Already, in 1990, Jacques-Yves Cousteau spoke about it in his documentary “Andaman Islands: Invisible islands...”

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival

Arrival with Chennai Reception at the airport (generally in evening; caution: you must imperatively land in Chennai before 1:00 in the morning, because the flight to Port Blair leaves early in the morning).Transfer and night at the hotel.
Day 2 : Flight Chennai - Port Blair [2 H of flight]

Flight Chennai - Port Blair [2 H of flight] - Ferry Port Blair - Havelock [4 H of ferry]Transfer to the airport and flight to Port Blair. Reception at the airport and transfer downtown. Visit Port Blair, the capital of Andaman, while waiting for your ferry for Havelock for a departure at 14:00. Reception at the port of Havelock and transfer to your resort. Night at the resort.
Day 3 : Havelock: Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM]

Havelock: Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM] Meet with the diving team ,and presentation of the week. To carefully initiate you, you will start with 2 diving spots on the Island of South Button: one in the South and one in the North. No need to go deeper than 15m, from 5m you will be swimming in an aquarium: all varieties of clown-fish, nudibranches everywhere, pipe fishes, stoups and gorgons are there to greet you! Night at the resort.
An extra diving night can be scheduled...
Day 4 : Havelock: Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM]

Havelock: Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM] 1st diving: Jackson’s Bar: the last time that we were there, we saw: a silvertip sharks, manta rays, tortoises, for the most emblematic! Now its your turn! 2nd diving: South Minerva Ledgeit’s been a while since you haven’t witnessed something so beautiful and breath-taking ... A herd of parrot-fishes parrots should hang around - the head in the corals, a true treat! Night at the resort.
Day 5 : Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM]

Havelock: Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM] 1st diving: Johny’ S Gorge does not have anything to envy to Jackson’ S Bar! 2nd diving:Northern Minerva Ledge: “again? you may ask yourselves... but the diving spots are different and it was soooo good yesterday!!! Night at the resort.
Day 6 : Havelock

discovery & beach Enjoy a “well deserved” break on that busy schedule ;-) to visit the island. Rent a bicycle, a motor bike, or take a rickshaw, nothing like it to blend in the local landscape! You can walk unto the deserted Elephant beach, where you can choose between sea-kayaking or a trek in the jungle... To relax, enjoy a sunbath on the beach n# 7 (“Radha Nagar”), and enjoy at the sunset while sipping a cocktail at “Mahua” a delightful Italian restaurant. Night at the resort.
Day 7 : Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM] 1st diving

White House Rock: coral tables, gorgons in pink and purple shades follow one another and we love it this way! The parrot-fishes, the napoleons and groupers are gigantic... It would almost look as if the stingrays were dancing just for you. Careful the stream can be strong! 2nd diving: Light House: crocodile-fishes, flying lion fishes, playhide-and-seek in the corals. The color of the coral is trippy! Night at the resort.
Day 8 : Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM] 1st diving: Wreck

this wreck is not comparable with the largest wrecks of the globe but the fish are plenty there.... And the stingrays enjoy your company! 2nd diving: Aquarium: as its name states it, the gang’s ALL there, at only 10 m of depth: morays, clown-fishes, napoléons,stingrays, nudibranches ..... We don’t want to spoil the surprise! Night at the resort.
Day 9 : Diving [from 7:00AM to 3:00PM] 1st diving,

Dixon Pinnacle: one of the most famous diving spots, especially due to the amount of large fishes in the area. 2nd diving, The Wall: as its name indicates it, you will dive along the wall where all the fauna will appear before your stunned eyes! Night at the resort.
Day 10 : Diving the morning then Havelock Ferry -Port Blair [4 H of ferry]

After a last diving in the spot of your choice (either returning to the diving spot you enjoyed the most or choose in partnership with our diving center a new place to discover). Return to Havelock after midday and transfer in ferry to Port Blair. Reception at the port and transfer to the hotel of Port Blair or to a beach resort. Night there.
Day 11 : Flight Port Blair

Chennai [2 H of flight] The morning, transfer to the airport and flight to Chennai. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel for a “day use”. In the evening (most of the time), transfer to the airport for your international flight.
