Arrive into Cochin and you will be met and transferred to your hotel for two nights.Overnight at the hotel
Your sightseeing tour visits the Dutch Palace (closed Fridays), Jewish Synagogue (closed Fridays and Saturdays), St Francis Church and Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline see the unique Chinese fishing nets which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th Century. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area, where you can walk through the historic Dutch and Portuguese buildings - the 500-year-old fort is amazingly well preserved. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular drama with elaborately made-up dancers with painted faces and masks, drummers and musicians.

After breakfast morning is free for personal activities.
After breakfast depart the hotel for Munnar (4hrs/150km). On arrival check into hotel. This royal resort is lazily nestled in the verdant slopes of the tea country. In the afternoon, to the delight of tea lovers, visit a Tata Tea plantation and museum housing curios, photographs and machinery, each depicting a turning point that contributed to India's flourishing tea industry. It exudes a rare old world charm and is strangely reminiscent of the days of the Raj in its elegant splendour. Munnar promises health with its soothing sunshine, salubrious climate and invigorating scent of the air from the tea gardens
Overnight at the hotel
After breakfast travel to Periyar (4hrs/160km) and to your hotel for an overnight stay. This afternoon take a 3-4 hour walk through this paradise for nature lovers - an opportunity to observe the animals and birdlife roaming the jungle, including herds of elephant who come to bathe in the lake.The dense forests of Periyar are home to many species of plants and you will be amused by the rich bio-diversity of this region.
Enjoy the morning drive and visit a spice plantation to watch different varieties of spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, vanilla, ginger tea and coffee growing in their natural environment. Later on travel on to the backwater resort of Kumarakom (4.5 hours). On arrival, board your personal houseboat for an overnight journey. The houseboat cruise takes you through the intricate maze of backwaters, mesmerising and surprising at every turn, with its serene beauty and simple charm.
After breakfast, disembark the house boat in Kumarakom, on the banks of the famous Vembanad Lake. Here, majestic canals, streams and distributaries weave an enchantingly beautiful web. Spend two nights at your hotel..
