Day 1 : Arrival @ Delhi
Arrival in Delhi. On your arrival you will be greeted according to a magnificent Indian tradition with a necklace of flowers to welcome you by Mr Singh. You will explore Old and New Delhi. You will visit the most important and significant places of the Indian capital. Thus, during this day you can admire the India Gate, a monument in homage to the soldiers who gave their lives during the First World War. Then you will discover Jama-Masjid a 17th century mosque. The latter is the largest in the whole country and can accommodate up to 25,000 people. Rickshaw ride for sightseeing Delhi local walk. Lunch during the visits. You will continue your visit to The Raj Ghat where the memorial of Gandhi, the father of the nation, is located. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi - Mandawa (220 KM - 5H)
After breakfast drive to Mandawa, Arrive and explore the scenic Shekhawati region and its villages, one of the unknown destinations in the Shekhawati region, Visit the haveli and the local walker. Overnight in Mandawa.
Day 3 : Mandawa - Bikaner ( 180 Km - 4 H)
After breakfast you take the road to Bikaner and visit the very beautiful fort of Junagarh dating from the 16th century. It is one of the best preserved in Rajasthan. Cyclo Rikshow through the alleys of the old town, where you can also discover beautiful havelis. Visit the Deshnok temple and the camel breeding farm, Overnight in Bikaner
Day 4 : Bikaner - Phalodi (140 Km - 3H)
Breakfast at the hotel. Road for Phalodi, Arrival Phalodi and visit of the city and its havelis and Jain temple. Evening transfer to Bawadi village. Dinner (vegetarian) with Mr Singh's family. Night at the hotel.
Day 5 : Phalodi-Jaisalmer (150km/3h) – Khuri (40km)-Jaisalmer
Breakfast. Drive to Jaisalmer, In the heart of a rough Stoney and Sandy desert, surrounded by an imposing warlike enclosure, the beauty of Jaisalmer is due to the preservation of a whole dream setting, unique for its architectural homogeneity and its ancestral rhythm of life. Day of discovery of the fort, palaces of extreme delicacy, Jain temples, houses and havelis of the lower town. Visit of Patwah-ki-haveli. Then transfer to Khuri, Arrival and camel ride in the desert. Dinner with traditional show. Night at the Jaisalmer Hotel.
Day 6 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (280km/5h)
Drive to Jodhpur after breakfast. On arrival installation at the hotel. In the afternoon, discover Jodhpur, a proud citadel anchored like an eagle's nest above the void and which dominates a city of blue houses. Mehrangarh fort visit. Discovery of the fort with beautiful decorations and rich collections (palanquins, sedan chairs, weapons, miniatures, royal cradles). Visit Jashwant Theda (royal family cenotaph). Stroll in the local city markets, Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 : Jodhpur - Jaipur (330km/5h30)
Breakfast then drive to Jaipur. Arrival and Visit of Jantar-Mantar, the astronomical observatory, composed of colossal instruments which draw strange geometric shapes that one would think the work of contemporary sculptors, and of the City Palace, a former royal palace converted into a museum in part , but which still houses the private apartments of the Maharaja. In the afternoon, continuation of the visit of Jaipur, with the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds, a real architectural fantasy with its curious openwork stone screen facade. Night at the hotel.
Day 8 : Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the palace and the fort of Amber located 11 kilometers north of Jaipur, sumptuous fortified lair of the dynasty of the Rajput maharajas. Then visit Mughal buildings and gardens. In the afternoon, discover the pink city of Jaipur, corseted by an immense crenellated wall, fascinating with its bazaars buzzing with activity, its temples, its palaces. Walk in the old town and around the local market and discover crafts. Free evening to attend prayer at Birla temple. Night at the hotel.
Day 9 : Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (240km/5h)
Breakfast. After drive to Agra, stop to visit Chand Baori a Abhaneri, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri and discover the ancient capital of the Mughal Empire, one of the most spectacular sites in the Ganges Valley today abandoned city classified as a world heritage site by Unesco. Visit of the palaces and the great mosque. Then drive to Agra. Arrive and visit the Agra Fort, a gigantic fortress erected on the banks of the Yamuna where Shah Jahan ends his days contemplating his marble dream. It is the revelation of the power achieved by the Mughal empire which extended over most of India and which had inexhaustible financial and human resources at the time of its splendour. Night at the hotel.
Day 10 : Agra-Delhi (200km/3h)
Visit of the Taj Mahal, the most famous monument of India, mausoleum of white marble encrusted with precious stones, it was integrated in the 17th century by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during the birth of son ninth child. A love song to the deceased, in its immaculate whiteness in the middle of a rich garden, it is much more than a simple mausoleum and considered one of the wonders of the world. Then transfer to Delhi airport to catch flight to home.
