Indulge yourself in the rich culture of New Zealand’s Maori heritage, including a traditional hangi and concert. Travel south through lush Waikato farmland to Waitomo, continue east to Rotorua, steeped in Maori culture and history.

Departure

​Reporting time 7.30 am at the Sky City Coach Terminal. Departs at 8.00 am EVERY DAY.
Additional Nights – Available to any destination of your choosing. You can add an extra night for a competitive rate. If you would like to extend your tour, please advise your consultant when making your booking. We definitely recommend that you spend extra nights prior to and after your tour to explore the gateway destinations, as these provide many unique attractions worth going the extra mile for.

Transfers Included
Transfers are included between your accommodation and transport on the Tour. If you need to we can book your pre-tour arrangements or you can make your own way to the Tour departure location.

Daily Departures
The tours operate every day and use routine train, ferry and motor coach services. All hotel, motel accommodation, transportation and essential sightseeing are pre-arranged for you.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua

  Travel south through lush Waikato farmland to Waitomo. Join a guided tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves with their amazing stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations. At the conclusion of the tour take a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto – a subterranean cavern lit up by a galaxy of thousands of glow-worms. Continue east to Rotorua, steeped in Maori culture and history. Tonight enjoy a traditional Maori Hangi (feast) & Concert.
  
  Stay 1 night in Rotorua.

• Day 2 : Rotorua - Auckland

  This morning see roaring geysers and boiling mud pools at the Te Puia Geothermal Experience, tame trout at the Rainbow Springs Wildlife Park and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome Sheep Show. This afternoon your coach returns to Auckland, arriving in the evening where your tour ends.
