Climb to Pequeña Ilusion Package

Package Overview

When you travel around La Paz, you will have the chance to see a very beautiful mountain formation, the Condoriri Range. One of its main mountains is “La Cabeza de Condor“, (literally, the Condor’s Head), and next to it, on each side the Ala Izquierda and the Ala Derecha (or right and left wing).

This very interesting group is a place where the alpinist can practice a variety of techniques in mountaineering, from classic rock to alpine ice, and from simple expedition to the summits to alpine style climbs via several gullies, faces and slopes. Moreover, there are several other mountains to be climbed in the area, making it a Chamonix or a Zermat in South America and making worth a visit.

The principal summit of this massif is the CABEZA DE CONDOR (condor’s head) which present a normal route, fairly easy but tiring. It has a drop of 1000 m.

And it will be able to climb in 1 or 2 days, we will start at the base camp.

The other peaks will be able to climb easily in 1 day, but they are esthetic, the best of all being the PEQUEÑO ALPAMAYO.

The peak PEQUEÑA ILUSION (5400 meter above sea level.) it allows an excellent opening to the andinismo in Bolivia.Sleeping bag (-10)

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  CONDORIRI´S BASE CAMP departure from La Paz city by car to Tuni – Condoriri lagoon (2 hours trip; 40 km) Trek about 3 hours to get to the Camp.

  • Hotspots Condoriri
• Day 2 :

  CLIMB TO PEQUEÑA ILUSION + RETURN TO LA PAZ CITY.
