Day 1 : Airport - Colombo
Upon arrival, when you leave the airport terminal please look for our tour guide displaying a signboard with your name. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo. Overnight stay at Hotel sovereign in Colombo.
Day 2 : Colombo
After breakfast proceed on a city tour of Colombo. Colombo – A drive through the city will take you to the Fort and Pettah – the commercial area of the city and tree-lined Colombo – 07 Cinnamon Gardens . The Hindu Temple at Sea Street, lined with goldsmith’s shops, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal, dating back to 1749. The Independence Hall, B.M.I.C.H, see the replica of Avukana Buddha, the Independence Square and Gangarama Temple. Overnight stay at Hotel sovereign in Colombo.
Day 3 : Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Kandy . Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant orphanage and a spice Garden in Mawanella Pinnawala which is home for about 90 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. The best time to visit is during the feeding time at 9.15 a.m or 1.15 p.m. In the afternoon visit the Temple of the Tooth Thereafter proceed on a sightseeing tour of Kandy including visiting the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary. Kandy – the hill capital which was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Kandy is venue of the annual Perahera festival happening in July or August in Kandy every year, it has become a unique symbol of Sri Lanka . It is a Buddhist festival consisting of dances and nicely decorated elephants. There are fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandian dances and various other cultural dances. The elephants are usually adorned with lavish garments.
The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple ’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. Late evening witness a cultural performance. Overnight stay at Hotel Hilltop in Kandy.
Day 4 : Kandy
After breakfast visit Royal botanical Gardens. Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Thereafter proceed to Negombo. Overnight stay at Hotel J in Negombo.
Day 5 : Negombo
After breakfast proceed up to the airport for your onward Journey Negombo.
