Package Overview

The 08 Nights Colours of Kerala is distinctive 'Kerala package' of the many 'Kerala Holiday packages' and it covers popular 'tourist places in Kerala'. Starting with Kochi for a night it takes you to Munnar for 02 Nights, Thekkady Two Nights, Kumarakom 01 Night, Kerala Houseboat 01 Night and Kochi again for one night. If you have time you can add on Mararikulam for two Nights. You can also add on Varkala or Kovalam for two nights or more. Read the add-package flow given at the bottom. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Kochi

  Welcome to Kochi the Queen of Arabian Sea!. On arrival you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy this thriving city on own. Overnight at Kochi.
• Day 2 : Kochi-Munnar (4 Hrs)

  After breakfast, drive past the lively towns dotted with churches/temples, unending expanse of pristine rubber plantations and tea plant decorated mountians to reach Munnar- a haven of peace and tranquillity. On the way you can have photo stops at scenic locations. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is ar leisure. Overnight in Munnar

• Day 3 : Munnar Sightseeing

  After breakfast, today's sightseeing takes you to places like Mattupetty Dam, Pothenmedu view point, Kundala Dam, Echo Point, Tea Museum etc, Evening you may like to walk around the town or shop for some fresh tea or just sit back to enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the hills. Overnight in Munnar.

• Day 4 : Munnar-Thekkady (03 HRS)

  After Breakfast, the drive of great beauty takes you to Thekkady- A dream destination set amidst the cardamom and pice plantations. En-route you may prefer to sip a tea from local shops or have some photo stop in scenic view points. Late afternoon sightseeing takes you on a plantation tour to have glimpses of how spices are grown. Rest of the day is at leisure.Overnight at Thekkady

• Day 5 : Thekkady

  Early morning go on a game viewing boat ride where you stand a chance to spot elephants & other wild animals. (Boating subject to operations and on direct payment. The passengers to join the queue forr boat tickets). Later after breakfast the day is at leisure to walk around and explore the streets and markets of this lively town which is famous for its spices. Alternatively you can take some OPTIONAL activities like Jungle Trekking programs as organised by forest department OR avail some Ayurvedic Massage from hotel OR even try a elephant ride or bullock cart ride from a nearby place. All optional activities are on direct payment basis. Overnight at Thekkady

• Day 6 : Thekkady-Kumarakom (140 Kms, 4 Hrs)

  After breakfast, drive down the hills enjoying the lovely view of the green mountains, passing clouds, pristine valleys, and little villages dotted with churches and temples to reach Kumarakom-an exotic destination located on the banks of picture perfect Vemband lake. After check-in the day is at leisure. Alternatively by paying direct at Hotel you can avail some OPTIONAL activities like Ayurveda Massage, Motor Canoe Cruise, Village Walk etc. By evening have Sunset Cruise if provided by the hotel. Overnight in Kumarakom

• Day 7 : Kumarakom-Houseboat

  After breakfast you have some time to relax. By noon board your houseboat to enjoy one of the most fascinating and exotic experience. While you cruise along, cherish the spectacular beauty of the backwaters with palm fringed waterways, Chinese fishing nets, rustic homes, temples etc., May be you can walk in the paddy fields or stroll through the local villages or barge into a local toddy shop. Onboard you will be served with local Kerala Cuisine and the facilities onboard include A/C bedooms with private toilet, kitchen, sundeck, living area. Cruise will be for four to five hours in day time only. (For delux Boats, the air condition will be switched on after 0830 PM only. For premium Boats one can use air condition in room at all times. There also special traditional boats and fully air conditioned luxury houseboats. Check with us for choices) Overnight in Houseboat.

• Day 8 : Disembark at Alleppey. Drive to Kochi

  After Breakfast, disembark at Alleppey famously called as Venice of the east and drive to Kochi. On arrival check-in to hotel. Afternoon city tour takes you through major landmarks like St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Fri, Sat), Dutch Palace (Closed on Fri) etc. Evening watch a Kathakali show, a traditional dance drama of Kerala where artists take various roles from famous Indian epics and perform in a theatre presentation. Overnight in Kochi

• Day 9 : Departure
