Day 1 : Arrival Yangon
Welcome at Yangon International Airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Orientation tour Yangon highlights: down town Yangon to see Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Independent monument and old Colonial buildings. Proceed to Botahtaung Pagoda with sacred relic chamber and stop at Strand Hotel: the 1901-built three-storied 5 star hotel in Yangon remains one of Southeast Asia’s few grand colonial hotels. Chaukhtatkyi : huge reclining Buddha Image in Guest receiving position. Later on, visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders in the world, noted for its religious significance and artistic beauty. If time permits,take a stroll in China Town noted for its fruits market and delicious street foods stalls and vendors aside the main street. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the Hotel in Yangon.
Day 2 : Flight to Bagan Sightseeing
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Visit colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagoda - the glory of Bagan, Htilominlo Temple - the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung - monastery made of teak wood, Ananda Temple - the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple - the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple - huge Buddha Images, Dhamayangyi Temple - the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple - the 12th century temple, the lacquerware workshop - the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on the top of the temple. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 3 : Sightseeing Bagan
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Lawkananda pagoda, which has the fascinating river view, Payathonezu temples with mural paintings, Nagayon Temple of 11th century, Apyeyadanar Temple with mural paintings, etc. In the late afternoon, visit Minanathu village to observe the life of people. Finally, take the boat ride on mighty Ayeyarwaddy River during the sunset time. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 4 : Drive to Mt.popa(50 Km, 2 Hours). Proceed to Mandalay (240 Km, 5/6 Hours)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt.Popa-an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt.Popa cliff temple to enjoy the landscapes and plain to Bagan. Come down and proceed to Mandalay. Check in at the hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 5 : Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing& Sightseeing Mandalay
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mahamuni Buddha Image one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar. Transfer to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Drive to Mandalay and visit to the traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery – the finest of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 6 : River Cruise Mingun-ava (inwa)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Proceed to Ava (Inwa) by boat for about 02 hours. On the way, we may observe the beauty of serene Sagaing Hill & bridge from the boat. Arrive to Ava and visit by horse carts to MaenuOkkyaung Monastery - built by the chief queen, Nan Myint Tower - 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery - well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein Bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 7 : Flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya (45 Km, 01:30 Hours). Proceed to Inle (97 Km, 02:30 Hours)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace landing cultivation, etc. Visit Pindaya Caves -houses 8094 Buddha Images, umbrella workshop, which is made of pulp. Proceed to Inle and on the way, visit Shweyanpye Monastery - typical Shan Monastery. Check in at the hotel and overnight at Inle Lake.
Day 8 : Excursion Inle
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion on the lake. Visit Inn Dein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes, floating gardens, floating villages, PhaungdawOo Pagoda-the most venerable pagoda on the lake, In Paw Khon village to observe the silk weaving & lotus petal robe weaving loom, jumping cats monastery, etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.
Day 9 : Flight to Yangon
Visit
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit Bogyoke market [except on Monday] & china town. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 10 : Flight to Sittwe Boat to Mraukoo
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Sittwe. Upon arrival, boat trip Kaladan River to MraukOo, about 6 hours upstream. On the way, we may observe the beauty of Kaladan River. Arrival MraukOo, transfer and check in at the hotel. Overnight in MraukOo.
Day 11 : Sightseeing Mraukoo
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Shittaung Temple - Shrine of the 80,000 Images, Pitakaktaik, which literally means Buddhist cannon with distinguishing features, Laungbanpyauk Pagoda &Sakyamanaung Pagoda, AndawThein temple, Yadanabon Pagoda, which is the largest stupa in the area, YadanaManaung, SatkyaManaung, etc. Enjoy the sunset on top of HtokeKanThein Temple - which houses 146 Buddha niches. Overnight in MraukOo.
Day 12 : Mrauk U – Culture Exploration to Tattooed Chin Villages(by Boat)
Today, after breakfast in your hotel, we are going to take a day-return boat trip along the Laymyo River to visit the village of Chin Tribe where elderly chin women with traditional tattooed faces. Leisurely boat ride (with service of seasonal fruits, drinking water, coffee, tea, on board) along the bank of Laymyo River around 8:00 am and to hike up to the Face-tattooed Chin villages (there is a series of villages namely; Cho Mrin, PannBound, KoneChaung) around 12:00 noon, and study on the art and culture of Face-tattooing over the faces of Chin women. On the way, Lunch over the stone mat, a lovely place on the river bank on the way to and fro Chin villages, and passing through the small creeks and beautiful betel-nut plantation farms and villages.
This trip takes us the whole day starting from Mrauk U at 8 Am and arriving back at 5-6 Pm (approxi 3 Hour-boat ride each way) which is a worthy visit of cultural exploration.
Day 13 : Boat to Sittwe
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the local market, museum, Bandoola Monastery - huge collection of antiques of MraukOo Dynasty. Afternoon, cruise back to Sitttwe. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Leisure at View Point Beach.Overnight in Sittwe.
Day 14 : Flight to Yangon
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit the colorful fish market, Cultural Museum. Afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 15 : Departure
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
