Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : PARO

  On arrival you will be met and transferred to Uma Paro. Once settled, take the opportunity to acclimatise.

• Day 2 : PARO - THIMPHU - PUNAKHA

  During the journey from Uma Paro to Uma Punakha, stop in Thimphu to take in some of the major sights. The drive to Punakha is spectacular, winding up the 3000m high mountain pass of Dochula.

• Day 3 : PUNAKHA

  The morning starts with a short walk to reach Chimmi Lhakhang. Heading down the valley,  the 300-year-old Punakha Dzong comes into view. After lunch, continue your walk to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten.

• Day 4 : PUNAKHA

  Retrace your steps back over the Dochula Pass. Time permitting there will be a visit to Tamchog Lhakhang, a temple built by Thangtong Gyalpo, a pioneering engineer who introduced the construction of suspension bridges into Bhutan and Tibet.

• Day 5 : PUNAKHA - PARO

  Visit Taktsang Goemba, or ‘Tiger’s Nest’ Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most important pieces of architecture. After lunch, return to Uma Paro.

• Day 6 : PARO

  Transfer to the airport.

• Day 7 : PARO

  Transfer to the airport where your journey ends.
