Package Overview

Since your tour covers different districts and states one single vehicle for the entire trip cannot be used. Local sight seeing tours in the above
places are arranged in separate car (Maruti Van or Sumo Jeep as per availability) as per local taxi syndicate rule. These cars are used exclusively
for you and take you to all the points mentioned in the package.
 
The car service for the specific package is on contract basis as per tour details and not for full day. The full day availability of car can also be
arranged on request with additional cost.
 
Due to high traffic restrictions in the hill stations (mainly in Darjeeling and Gangtok) the drivers remain under pressure. They can not stop on the
road while driving through the city or can not go to certain places even if desired by the tourists. In the hill towns the car parking places are very
limited. In some hotels cars are not allowed to go. We have selected such hotels where the car has a direct access, but the same can be
changed following sudden traffic rule imposition in some specific time. In such cases our driver will take you to the nearest taxi stand and help you
to reach hotel. We request you to kindly understand these issues and cooperate with the drivers and maintain the timings.
 
We suggest you visit the market areas in the afternoon by foot and avoid car unless the hotels are far from the city. Where the hotels are far
we can arrange extra car for visiting market. The cost for this service is extra payable.
 
The hotels in the hills are not air conditioned, and also this is not required because of pleasant climatic condition. There are very few
hotels having elevator and you may have to climb 3 to 4 story in some hotels. Rooms on higher floor have better view of the surroundings.
We can arrange your room in   the lower floor if you so desire.
 
In case of any specific requirement of bed arrangement in a hotel (Twin Bed or Couple Bed) or food requirement (Vegetarian or Non

Important Facts for North Sikkim:
Tourist visiting North Sikkim should note that Lachung and Lachen are located in the remote high altitude areas and are new tourist destinations.
Tourism   infrastructures are still developing and the people are not trained professional but are friendly and hospitable. Facilities available here
are basic and should not be compared with the modern hotels and resorts in the towns and cities. The rooms are clean and have attached
bath with running water. Food available here are basic but sufficient, well cooked & hygienic. Electricity and telephone connection are available
but with limitations and there is hardly any Television. Room heaters are not used due to poor electricity and hot water bags are provided instead.
Room service is not available and food is provided at the dining room.
 
The long mountainous journey is very scenic but is not very smooth & comfortable. In some patches the road is bumpy and there is continuous
water flow over the road. However, this is jeepable and safe.
 
The high altitude areas in Sikkim are cold and the temperature may vary between 2 and 4 degree C during night. Sometimes temperature may
go down even below 0 degree causing heavy snowfall and temporary road blockade.
 
People suffering from chronic heart disease, breathing problem, high blood pressure should avoid visitingGurudongmarLake (5500M),
Yumesamdong (4500M).
Despite of all these we still suggest you to visit this region to experience the beauty of the Himalayan landscape and its contents - which is
unmatched and unparallel. The issues like the accommodation, food and transport remain unnoticed once you are in the lap of the pristine nature.
 In-fact a visit to these places gives you a rare opportunity to closely feel and understand the beckoning and mythical Himalayas along with the
 tradition and culture of its people.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Kalimpong (77 kms in 2-3 hrs)

  Meeting & Greeting on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Kalimpong (4091 ft.). On arrival check in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
• Day 2 : Kalimpong Local Sightseeing – Gangtok (77 kms / 3 hrs)

  After Breakfast half day tour of Kalimpong (Starts 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM) Visit Mangal Dham, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham’s Home, Golf Garden, Durpin Dara Hills & Flowers Nurseries. Afternoon transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.), Capital of Sikkim. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
   
• Day 3 : Excursion to Changu Lake & Baba Mandir

  After breakfast start for an excursion to Changu Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms from Gangtok city each way (Starts 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
   
  Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft.) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals onlyat an additional cost.
• Day 4 : Gangtok – Lachen (125 kms / 6 hrs)

  After breakfast pick up from hotel & transfer to Lachen (9,285 ft.). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall, and reach Lachen by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachen.
   
• Day 5 : Lachen - Chopta Valley – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

  Early Morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,225 ft.) & Gurudongmar Lake (17,175 ft.). Back to hotel and after Lunch transfer to Lachung (8,175 ft). Reach Lachung by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.

• Day 6 : Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion

  After breakfast drive to Yumthang Valley Known as Valley of Flowers (11,910 ft.). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort. Overnight stay at Lachung.
   
  Optional Yumesamdong Valley or Zero Point (Alt 15700 ft.) for Indian tourists only at an additional cost.

• Day 7 : Lachung - Gangtok (120 kms / 6 hrs)

  After breakfast departure for Gangtok, en-route witness the wonderful Bheema & Twin water falls. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
   
• Day 8 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing - Pelling (117 Kms / 5 hrs)

  This morning (Starts 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM) for a half day trip of Gangtok city covering Banjhakri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten & Institute of Tibetology. Afternoon transfer to Pelling (6,100 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.
   
• Day 9 : Pelling Sightseeing

  After breakfast start for full day sightseeing (Starts 8:30 AM - 4: 30 PM) visit Darap village, Kanchenjunga waterfalls, Sewaro Rock Garden, Rimbi water Falls & Khecheopalri Lake.After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground and Bird Sanctuary . Overnight stay at Pelling.
• Day 10 : : Pelling - Darjeeling (80 kms /4 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (6,710 ft.), Enjoy scenic beauty of Rangeet River Valley on the way. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 11 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

  Early Morning at 4:00 am drive to Tiger hill to watch the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outerview) and Japanese Temple (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs). Evening free for shopping & leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
   
• Day 12 : : Darjeeling – NJP Rly Station / IXB airport (98 kms / 3 hrs)

  After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey, Tour endd
