Later today, visit the world-famous Globus Local FavoriteGlobus Local Favorite TABACÓN HOT SPRINGS. Along with your Naturalist, cruise through the mangrove that provides an important nesting site for birds, including the beautiful scarlet macaw whose brilliant colors (bright orange-red plumage with touches of blue and yellow) and long, pointed tail and wings make them easy to spot as they fly overhead. As the boat approaches the riverbanks you will get an up-close look at wild crocodiles up to 15-feet long. The Tárcoles River has been recorded to have between 80 and 240 crocodiles per mile of river! Keep your eye out for other fauna often spotted along the cruise, like iguanas, monkeys, sloths, and more. Continue to the Pacific Coast and the town of Quepos. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening.
