This outstanding natural history and culturally-oriented Tour/safari is to provide an overview of Uganda cultures, offering tourists a chance to experience the full spectrum of diversity Uganda has to offer. This Tour/Safari combines the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a foremost natural history destination offering visitors the chance to watch and photograph unique species of endangered mountain gorillas, Albertine rift valley endemic species of birds, Uganda Natural & Cultural History. This is a mix of attractions ranging from natural and cultural, to social lifestyle, which makes Uganda a country of its own. The longest river in the world begins in Uganda‘s Lake Victoria second world largest Lake; the world‘s most endangered primates, the mountain Gorillas are found in the southwestern mountain forests of the country; and the most diverse conservation area in terms of habitat and species in Africa, i.e. Queen Elizabeth National Park, is found in Uganda. In addition, this country, which is approximately the size of the state of Oregon, contains over 10% of the bird species in the whole world, as well as some of the oldest and most sophisticated cultures of the African continent represented by over 50 tribes each with a different language, traditions and beliefs. Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 :

    On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcome by a Alpha Adventure Safaris ‘guide, who will assist in transferring you to the hotel in Kampala. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure with an overnight stay a cassia lodge or the lodge of your choice.BB

  • Day 2 :

    Transfer to Fortportal early morning branch off to Nakayima Tree in Mubende then continue to Fort Portal which lies close to the mountains of the moon where we shall check in at safari lodge for dinner and overnight /Full board

  • Day 3 :

    Here you will learn more about the cultures of the Batoro & Bakonjo ,this will be a full day safari/tour filled with real discoveries. We will first visit a tribal community at the foothills of the Rwenzoris, where the locals look forward to welcoming and entertaining us. From here we will tour the area and then have lunch. Have entertainment show by the Bakonjo and Batoro people. This event will be followed by a visit to the local women’s group to observe how they make hand crafts. After Dinner and our overnight at safaris lodge. Full board

  • Day 4 :

    After an early breakfast we’ll leave for Fort Portal to visit the Kings Royal Tombs and various ethnic groups and Villages around. A memorable visit will be to the Burungu community, which is rooted in the traditional Toro Culture, and where they will entertain us with music, dancing and storytelling. We’ll spend the whole day within these local communities and walk & tour these villages, experiencing and observing their life-style, their rituals, habits and customs, later we drive back to our safari lodge for dinner and overnight.   • Day 5 :

    After a good rest and breakfast, you will go to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its families of habituated Chimpanzees. The Park it is home to an astonishing number of 12 species of Primates, the highest you can meet on a Uganda primate’s safari and the highest Primate density in the World! Having a guided walk, you’ll encounter families of Chimps and Red Colobus monkeys, all superb photographic opportunities. In the afternoon we will have another guided walk to Bigodi Swamps which has as many as 137 bird species, including the Snowy Headed Robin Cat, Black and White Casqued Hornbill, Emerald Cuckoo and a variety of Weavers, Warblers, Greenbelts and Sunbirds. There is also an abundance of butterflies, and rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polite figs and the dominant papyrus. Dinner and overnight at safari lodge. Full board

  • Day 6 :

    This morning we will drive towards Lake Mburo National Park, via villages and having experience at the Ankole Culture which is found in Ankore. The Lake Mburo National Park has a different fauna to other Parks and reserves, and it’s the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland antelope, as well as Zebra, topi, impala, and several acacia-associated birds. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds, while the fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists, such as the antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus Gonalek. In Ankole region, we will spot the Ankole long horned cattle the enormous horns. After integrating a bit with the local people we’ll have an evening game drive. Dine and Overnight at safari lodge.   • Day 7 :

    After breakfast we’ll spend the whole morning in the park, visiting the local community and see how ghee is made out of milk and also get a chance to milk a cow, know how they prepare matooke, how families and communities are managed. Back to the safari lodge for Lunch and later in the afternoon we’ll have a boat trip on the Lake, to watch the wildlife and fauna. Overnight: Safari Lodge-Full board

  • Day 8 :

    After an early morning game drive in the Park, we will return for breakfast at your Safari Lodge, then after drive to Kampala. On your way to Kampala we will be able to have a stopover at the Equator for experience both hemispheres at once! We then proceed to Kampala, arriving in the evening to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay at either Cassia lodge. Bed and Breakfast

  • Day 9 :

    After breakfast, our guide will drive you through Uganda’s capital city Kampala to Semuto. This is a unique journey into the history of Uganda, where the war that liberated Uganda started from. Here we will meet the local people and experience a rich and authentic culture, hear testimonies about Luweero triangle war and come face to face with the ancient traditions. More than just sightseeing, the local people will entertain us with cultural dancing, music, craft making and storytelling. We’ll have lunch here and thereafter continue to another village to see a different lifestyle of the Ugandan community. Dine and Overnight at cassia lodge.. overnight stay at either Cassia lodge or The lodge Lweza.BB.

  • Day 10 :

    After breakfast, we will drive to Kasubi Tombs, the King’s burial place; visit the National Museum, after lunch then transferred to the Entebbe International Airport in time to reach our flight back home.
