Day 1 : CUSCO HISTORIC CITY.
On arrival in Cusco you will be transferred to your hotel and receive an introduction to the activities planned for you every day.
We begin with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral in the historic center, site of stunning colonial art-works; we continue on to the Qoriqancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun and located in the historic center. From there we continue to see the Sacsayhuaman Fort, and in the afternoon we continue to Cusco for a well-deserved rest.
Day 2 : VISIT THE ROUTE SUMAK ANDEAN
Leaving Cusco in the morning, we first visit the Loraypo Center, where we see the Chinchero textiles ( a production process of textile art, coloring, iconography; these textiles tell the history of the textile communities). From here we continue to see the archeological groupings of the Cheqoq and Moray centers, agricultural experimentation areas of the Incas in Maras, as well as a colonial temple. We then visit the Salineras, salt mines, for communal exploitation and administration.
After listening to the explanations by professional guides, we will have lunch in Sumaq Andean, offered by the Association of Women involved in Textiles, Sumaq Huaycuy Llankaska, a group of women who are preserving the technology of preparing plates of the area´s typical food which they inherited from their ancestors. They use the area´s natural products grown by the local farmers. While you enjoy this gastronomical experience you can learn about the Andean products that are planted and grown here before they are harvested in harmony with mother earth.
In the evening we move to Ollantaytambo, an interesting community in the Sacred Valley where you can admire small streets whose Inca walls are well preserved. Here we will spend the night.
Day 3 : MACHU PICCHU MODERN WONDER
We leave early in the morning enroute to the wonderful Inca City of Machupicchu, looking at beautiful landscapes between Ollantaytambo and Machupicchu Pueblo, before we board our bus which takes us directly to the archeological site. After a guided visit of 2.5 hours, you may walk around on your own, keeping in mind that our return train leaves in the afternoon or evening (depending on the departure schedule you chose when you made your reservation). We return to Cusco late in the day. (Duration: all day).
