You have seen the lord of the rings and appreciated the landscape; you don't need to go to New Zealand or Europe. The trek of Dhamdharkandi pass and Ruinsaratal area provide all the sights that you are looking for and adrenaline too. Lush greenery, scraggy mountains, towering snowy peaks and beautiful wild flowers and gushing streams that seems to spring from nowhere. Dhamdharkandi pass is situated in western Garhwal, at the base of Banderpunch and black peak massif. We may see vast variety of wild flowers and hundreds of birds and some exceptional fauna of Govind pashu vihar.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Haridwar / Rishikesh;

  Arrival at Haridwar / Rishikesh; hotel transfer. Stay in hotel. Visit to Parmarth Niketan for Ganga arti.

• Day 2 : Rishikesh - Uttarkashi - Bagori/Harsil

  Drive 9 hrs for Bagori/Harsil, we will stop at Uttarkashi for lunch. On arrival check camp Dinner & over night at camp.

• Day 3 : Bagori - Jadunga - Durai Gad (09Km H 3440 M)

  after breakfast start trek on the trail following true left bank of Sian Gad. 6/7 hrs steep up passing through bush forest, on arrival check camp Dinner & over night at camp.

• Day 4 : Durai Gad - Bakarthach (10 km. H. 3750 M)

  Start trek after breakfast. Picnic lunch in alpine meadow. The trail is steep up passing through forest and alpine meadows, on arrival check in camp, dinner & over night at camp.

• Day 5 : Bakarthach - Kyarkoti. (09 Km H. 3850 M)

  Trek through beautiful meadows to Kyarkoti.

• Day 6 : Rest Day in Kyarkoti.

  The trek then makes a long, steep descent through a fine forest of firs and rhododendrons. This more remote trail with excellent camping spot.

• Day 7 : Kyarkoti - Rocky Camp/sian Gad - (08/09 Km H.4250 M)

  Trek through Birch forest and moraine to boulder filled campsite.

• Day 8 : Rocky Camp - Abc (12km; 6-7hrs;4600m)

  Cross Sian gad early in the morning, climb through meadows till advance base camp of pass, you can see pass in a distance.

• Day 9 : Advance Base Camp - Camp 1 of Pass (6km; 4 Hrs)

  We keep walking on moraine to reach as closer to pass for next day summit.

• Day 10 : Camp1 - Dhum Dhar Pass H. 5150 M - Kyarkoti - (12 Km H4650M)

  Early breakfast at camp and proceed for the Dhum Dhar kandi pass. From pass, you have close-up view of Banderpunch peak, black peak, the Gangotri Himalayan range, after short rest at pass trek steep downhill to cross Banderpunch Glacier. Continue walking on moraines for Kyarkoti camp. On arrival check camp Dinner & over night at camp.

• Day 11 : Kyarkoti - Ruinsara Tal (09Km H.3450M)

  Morning start your trek for Ruinsara Tal. Gradually up and down 09 km passing through alpine plateau. Picnic lunch, on arrival check camp dinner & over night at camp.

• Day 12 : Ruinsara Tal - Cave Camp (12km Trek)

  Morning start your trek for cave camp trek after crossing of Ruinsara Gad, an step climb on alpine meadows leads us to cave camp. overnight at camp.

• Day 13 : Cave Camp - Bali Pass - Base of Pass (12km Trek)

  After breakfast starts our ascent to Bali pass. Its steep and technical climb. Steep downhill walk to base of pass to Yamunotri side. Camping.

  • Themes : Camping

• Day 14 : Base of Pass - Yamunotri - Jankichatti - Barkot (14km Trek)

  Todays walk takes you through very dense forest of oak, pine and walnut to Yamunotri, hot lunch in tea shops. Afternoon drive 1hrs to Barkot. Stay in GMVN/ Private guest House.

• Day 15 : Barkot - Dehradun

  Early breakfast and drive 6 hrs to Dehradun via Nougoan, Mussoorie. Catch evening/night train to Delhi.
