  • Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

    Welcome to India- a Country Where Hospitality is a Way of Life ; to a Culture Steeped in Tradition, a Land Where History Lives in Music and Dance. You Will Be Received At the Airport in a Traditional Manner with Garlands and Proceed to Your Hotel for Overnight Stay.

  • Day 2 : Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali (2050 Mt.).

    After Early Morning Breafast Drive to Manali Via Chandigarh.on Arrival Check in At Hotel. Evening At Leisure. Overnight Stay At Hotel.

    Morning after breakfast drive to reach Palmo while crossing Rohtang Pass (3978 mt) and Darcha.In the evening set a campsite for overnight stay.

  • Day 5 : Palmo - Zanskar Sumdo (3750 Mt.)

    Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Zanskar Sumdo by covering approx 14 kms in 4-5 hrs. You will cross the left bank until reaching a second ford. Then go up the right hand valley. There is good path on the sides of the stream.Upon arival set the camp for overnight stay.

  • Day 6 : Zanskar Sumdo - Chumikanakpo (4060 Mt.)

    Morning After Breakfast Start Trekking to Reach Chumi Nakpo By Covering Approx 14 Kms in 4-5 Hrs. a Steep Climb Just After the Camp and Climb Down Gradually upto Chumi Nakpo Trekking for 4 -5 H Rs, Chumikanakpo Springs Into Picture. Resting the Journey to a Halt, Your Camp At a Superb Location. Upon Arival Set the Camp for Overnight Stay.

  • Day 7 : Chumikanakpo - Lakham (4470 Mt.)

    Unlike the Previous Day You Take On a Little Challenging Route. After Breakfast, You Follow the Trail that Meanders Through Several Ascents to Shingo La Which is At An Elevation of 5100m. from Here Onwards, You Begin Descending Towards Lakong. It Normally Takes 6-7 Hours to Trek Up to 4470 Meters. Upon Arival Set the Camp for Overnight Stay.

  • Day 8 : Lakham - Kurgiak (4060 Mt.)

    You have to Follow the Trail that Paves to Kurgiak. as You Enter Zanskar After Several Descents, You Will Observe a Pleasant Diversity in the Landscape. 6-7 Hours of Trek Eventually Ends On Arriving At Your Camp Site in Kurgiak At An Altitude of 4060 Meters. Once Again You Spend the Night At Your Camp.

  • Day 9 : Kurgiak Tanze Bepul (3950 Mt.)

    The Path Leads Away from the River, Gradually Up the Slope. First View of Rocky Escarpment. Further On, a Pass with Cairn and Pasture. Fantastic View of Zanskar Valley and the First Village After Darcha. By Passing Behind a Rocky Bridge Follow Steep Gorge. Cross a Stream. Then Arrive Tanze Village. Monastery in Ruins a Bit Higher Up. Upon Arival Set the Camp for Overnight Stay.

  • Day 10 : Bepul - Purne(3745 Mt.)

    Short Distance Beyond Tanze, There is a Small Bridge Across to the Left Bank. Slight Rise Leading to Kuru Village. Arrival in Testa Beautifull Village the Path Continues Downwards Near the River. Walk Along the Left Bank, and Then Climb to Yal. Crossing Village Descent Towards a Bridge, Which You Cross to Purne for Overnight Halt. Upon Arival Set the Camp for Overnight Stay.

  • Day 11 : Purne - Phuktal (4055 Mt.) - Purne

    In the morning after breakfast you advance towards Phugtal Gompa, the most dotted gompa in Ladakh. On following the left bank of the Tsarap River and crossing a bridge, Phugtal Gompa can be sighted on the limestone cliff. Inside the Gompa you can see that an enormous cave has been built into its main assembly hall. After excursing through this religious site, you head back to Purne with ultimate spiritual rejuvenation.

  • Day 12 : Purne - Ichar (3650 Mt.)

    From Purne Walk Backwards to Cross a Bridge. the Trail that Overhangs the Tsarap is Sometimes Tricky and Hard Going. Frequent Small Canyons of Pudding Stones. Pass a Bit Above the Hanging Bridge, Which Leads to the Village of Cha. Two Hours Later, You Arrive At Kaydang, a Small Village in a Poplar Grove. Carry On Until Hanumi Pass Below the Village of Surle. Arrive At a Large Bridge, Which Leads to Ichar.upon Arival Set the Camp for Overnight Stay.

  • Day 13 : Ichar - Mune (3750 Mt)

    The trek starts immediately after breakfast. You have to walk for 5-6 hours to reach your destination Mune. Upon arriving at an elevation of 3750m you camp at a superb location,

  • Day 14 : Mune - Padum (3650 Mt.)

    From the Gompa Climb Down a Steep Incline to the Main Track. Two Hrs. Trek Brings You to Bardan Gompa a Kagyud-pa Gompa Famous for Its 180 Cm High Mani Prayer Wheel. from this Place a Dusty Motorable Road Leads to Padum (3650 M)

    bardan Gompa Was Founded By Shabdru, Who also Founded Hemis Gompa in Ladakh and Later Went to Bhutan. Padum is the Administrative Headquarters of Zangskar. Palace of the King of Zangskar is in Ruins Destroyed By the Dogras

  • Day 15 : Padum - Karsha - Padum

    Morning after breakfast, we will take you to a visit to The Monastery of Karsha (The largest monastery of Zanskar, Karsha Gompa is an imposing complex of neatly white washed building blocks comprising several chapels, besides residential cells for its nearly 150 lamas, who belong to the Geluks-pa sect. Built picturesquely along the steeply rising mountainside above Karsha village, the monastery can be seen from far. The central building is a large assembly hall housing an array of figures and the ornate throne of the Head Lama-incarnate. Three adjoining chapels contain numerous statues and other art objects, among which a set of exquisite silver and copper chortens are worth noting for their beauty. Of particular interest in the complex is the Lhabrang, a large temple accessible through a vent in the roof, whose partially damaged walls are still adorned with the original frescos believed to be more than 300 years old).Later in the afternoon return to your hotel for overnight stay.

    Morning After An Early Breakfast Drive Back to Kargil Via Rangdum. Rangdum (the Farthest and Most Isolated Part of the Suru Valley, Rangdum (3657 M) is Surrounded By Colourful Hills On the One Side and Glacier-encrusted Rocky Mountains On the Other. Situated 130 Kms South-east of Kargil, It Falls Midway Between Kargil and Padum Upon Arrival, Check-in At Your Hotel for Dinner and Overnight Stay.

  • Day 17 : Kargil - Leh 3500 Mt.

    Morning After Breakfast Drive Back to Leh While Visiting Lamayuru Gompa. The Monastery of Lamayuru (125 Kms from Leh, Lamayuru is a Pretty Little Village Surrounded By the Rocky Hindukush Peaks.the Lamayuru Gompa is About Halfway Between the Verdent Valley of Kashmir and the Upland Desert Plateau of Tibet. Dating Back to the 10th Century and Belongs to Kargyu Pa Sect (red Hat Sect), Lamayuru is Not Only the Most Scenic of all Ladakh Monastries, But also Distinctly Different from Most Others. The Extreme Aridity of Ladahk Gives this Temple Complex the Appearance of Being Built On the Moon. Situated Atop a Beautifully Eroded Crag, this Historic Monastery Has a Fairy Tale Quality to It. As Legend Goes, in the Valley of Lamayuru, in the Times of Sakyamuni Buddha, a Lake Existed with Crystal Clear Water and Nagas (serpents) Lived in It. Arahat Madhyantaka Prophesied that a Monastery Be Built and Through His Supernatural Powers Drained Out the Lake. The Landscapes Still Bear the Impression of Watermarks. The Monastery is Officially Called 'yung-dung Tharpa Ling' (a Place of Freedom). The Gompa Houses An Impressive Image of the 11 Headed and 1000 Eyed Chendezing, the God of Compassion. Yuru Kabgyat as the 2 Day Lamayuru Festival is Locally Known, Depicts a Sacred Dance-drama Ending in the Destruction of Sacrificial Offerings).afterwards We Will Proceed to Leh.   • Day 18 : Leh - Indus Valley Sightseeing

    hemis (45 Kms. South of Leh)

    built On a Green Hillside Surrounded By Spectacular Mountains, Hemis is the Biggest and the Most Important Monastery in Ladakh. It Was Built in the 17th Century By Chapgon Gyalshas and Ever Since Has Enjoyed the Patronage of the Royal Family. Hemis is the Headquarter of the Drukpa Order and all the Monasteries Throughout Ladakh are Administered By It. This Wealthiest Monastery Contains Gold Statues and Stupas Decorated with Precious Stones and Many Priceless Old Thankas.

    Thiksey (25 Kms South of Leh)

    thiksey,One of the Most Imposing Monasteries Belonging to the 15th Century, Stands On a Crag Overlooking the Flood Plain On the East Bank of the Indus. The Monastery Belongs to Elugpa Order (yellow Sect) and is a 12- Storey Monastery Painted Deep Red, Ochre and White with Typical Tapering Walls. There is a 15m High Buddha Figure At the Entrance of the New Temple. The Layout of the Monastery Complex Resembles the Potala Palace in Lhasa.

    Shey (15 Kms South of Leh)

    on the East Bank of the Indus River Lies the Beautiful Shey Monastery. Up to the 16th Century It Was the Royal Palace. There is a 17.5 M High Blue Haired Maitreya Buddha of Copper, Brass Gilded and Studded with Precious Gemstones.
