Day 1 : Arrival into Pelling
This is the start of your Sikkim itinerary for 7 days. Depending on the mode of travel, you’ll either arrive into New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB). From here you can you may catch a cab or hire a vehicle to hit the destination. Check into your designated hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 : Pelling Sightseeing
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your designated hotel and prepare yourself for the day. You can spend the entire covering all the beautiful sightseeing points in Pelling. Pelling is a little town in the north-eastern state of Sikkim. It is located at the foot of the Khangchendzonga mountain range. The Buddhist monastery Sanga Choling in the late-17th century has mountain views. The Pemayangtse Monastery contains wall paintings, statues, and a Guru Padmasambhava gold-plated bust. The 17th-century Rabdentse Palace overlooking a gorge, now in ruins, still has details of the King ‘s bedroom and kitchen. Other popular sites to explore in and around Pelling include the Rock Garden and the nearby Rimbi waterfall, the medieval quaint Singshore Bridge, the Switch Waterfalls, the Khecheopalri / Khechuperi Khecheopalri River, holy to Buddhists, and the ancient Pemyangtse / Pemyangshi Pemayangtse Monastery. Spend overnight in Pelling.
Day 3 : Pelling to Gangtok
Start off the day with a light breakfast at your hotel. Prepare yourself for a 5-hour journey between Pelling and Gangtok. The distance is roughly about 120 km. The whole ride of five hours would be very relaxing while you admire the panoramic views on both sides of the highway. Gangtok is Sikkim ‘s capital known as a land of quietness, adventure, monasteries and mystical rituals. Check into your designated hotel in Gangtok and spend the rest of the day ay leisure. Walking around MG Road is free to the evening. You can check out the pretty local shopping centre and handcrafts.
Day 4 : Gangtok Sightseeing (Tsongmo lake , baba mandir ,nathula optional)
The major sightseeing points in Gangtok are Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. After a filling breakfast at the hotel, start your day by preparing for a visit to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir.
The magnificent Tsomgo Lake (Changu) is an oval-shaped glacial lake situated at 12,310 feet above sea level. Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds also stay at the site. Enjoy bird watching and grab photos to make the moment unforgettable. Baba Mandir is another holy spot to explore, too. The temple is named after Harbhajan Singh, an Army member. When time allows you may also reach (Nathu La Road . Depend on weather & permit availability). Spend the night in Gangtok.
Day 5 : Gangtok to Darjeeling
The journey from Gangtok to Darjeeling takes about 4 hours. Darjeeling is located at a stance of about 100 km from Gangtok. Darjeeling is a town in the Himalayan foothills, in the West Bengal state of India. Once a summer destination for the British Raj aristocracy, it remains the terminus of 1881 built narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Line.” It is famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot the slopes around it. The background is among the highest peaks in the country, Mt. Kanchenjunga. Check in to your designated hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6 : Darjeeling sightseeing
It is recommended to start your day early to get the out of sightseeing in Darjeeling. In the morning the first thing to do is visit the magnificent Tiger Hill. Only at dawn can one enjoy the spectacular sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga. On your way back to the hotel, Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop is another popular destination to enjoy in the early hours of the day. After these trips, go back for a sumptuous breakfast at your home. Certain Darjeeling attractions include the P.N. Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center, Tea Garden, Tenzing Hill, Ava Art Gallery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Japanese Temple.then back to hotel.overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 7 : Depart from Darjeeling
Post breakfast, pack your stuff and you’ll be on your way to either New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) depending on your mode of transportation. Return home with Sikkim nice and affectionate memories. This is the recommended Sikkim itinerary for 7 days.
