By Air - The nearest airport is in the city of Bagdogra, which is an important military installation. It is located at a distance of 90 km from Darjeeling. Various domestic flights shuttle between Bagdogra and some of the major cities in India. People who are willing to travel by air can disembark at the Bagdogra airport and take buses, taxis and private cars from the airport for reaching Darjeeling. By Rail - The most convenient railhead is New Jalpaiguri / Siliguri. Various cities of India are connected to the New Jalpaiguri / Siliguri station by major trains. But only the toy-train plies between the local Darjeeling and the New Jalpaiguri / Siliguri station. So if you plan your journey by train, you have to board the toy-train (mini-train) from the New Jalpaiguri/ Siliguri station for getting to the place. The journey takes about 10 hrs and gives you a breathtaking view of the entire landscape.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  Darjeeling - After arriving in New Jalpaiguri/Silliguri,our representative will meet you and transfer you to Darjeeling(90 kms/3 hours),check in at the hotel after arrival.Rest of the day at leisure,one can take a stroll in mall during afternoon and evening.Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.

• Day 2 :

  Darjeeling - Very early in the morning,we take you to Tiger Hill to catch a glimpse of sunrise over Kanchandzonga(Subject to clear weather conditions).Later in the day,we take you to some of the famous spots in Darjeeling such as HMI(Himalayan Mountaineering Institute),Zoological Gardens,Ghoom Monastery,Dhirdham temple Ropeway, Happy Valley Tea Estate, Lebong Race Course , Tenzing and Gombu Rock .Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.

• Day 3 :

  Darjeeling - After breakfast,we will take you for a joy train ride in Toy Train(Sector-Darjeeling to Kurseong),the train ride would take you through some of the amazing landscapes and engineering marvels such as Batasia Loop,it would also take you through Ghoom which was once upon a time considered to be the highest railway station in the world before the Chinese took railway lines to Lhasa.On arrival in Kurseong,our driver will meet you who has been accompanying you through out the trip and transfer you back to hotel in Darjeeling.Evening at leisure.Overnight stay and dinner in hotel in Darjeeling.

• Day 4 :

  Jaldapara - After breakfast,we transfer you to Jaldapara wild life sanctuary(214 kms/6 hours).Jaldapara wildlife sanctuary is a lesser known place and is primarily a heaven for nature lovers.It has the highest concentration of one horned Rhino after Kaziranga wildlife sanctuary and is even known to have Royal Bengal Tigers. Jaldapara is a paradise for bird watchers. It is one of the very few places in India, where the Bengal Florican is sighted.Dinner and overnight stay at Forest hut in Jaldapara.

  • Hotspots : Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary

• Day 5 :

  Jaldapara - Day reserved for Safari as well as leisure activities.Dinner and overnight stay at Forest hut in Jaldapara.

• Day 6 :

  Transfer to New Jalpaiguri - After breakfast,transfer to New Jalpaiguri/Silliguri(124 kms/3 hours) for return or onward journey.
