Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Nairobi - Nakuru

Pick up and drive out of Nairobi up to the escarpment and enjoy the scenic views across the Great Rift Valley. The road drops gently down the side of the escarpment, with views of the lakes and dormant volcanoes and you pass by Lake Naivasha and Lake Elementaita before arriving at the agricultural centre of Nakuru. Here you turn left and drive down through the main entrance to Lake Nakuru National Park. On arrival you will have a game drive enroute to the lodge for lunch.

A game drive in Nakuru National Park which is, of course, known for its birdlife among hundreds of other species. But wildlife is also in abundance here. You'll see large numbers of waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, plains game, cheetah, and now rhino, as Lake Nakuru National Park has been made into one of Kenya's rhino sanctuary.

Lunch is taken at Sarova Lion Hill lodge overlooking the lake.
After lunch you will proceed for an afternoon game drive then depart for Nairobi in mid afternoon, to arrive in the evening as the sun sets.
