Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Mumbai.

  You are greeted on arrival at Mumbai Airport / Railway Station by GATEWAY Holidays representative and thereafter transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Day at leisure. O/N : Mumbai.

• Day 2 : Mumbai

  Wake up rejuvenated and embark on a sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Cruise across the Mumbai harbour to the Elephanta Island (9 kms) to see huge rock cut temple there. Afternoon city tour visiting museum, Gateway of India, Hanging Garden, Tower of Silence, Dhobhi Ghats, Mani Bhawan etc. Return to the hotel and enjoy a good night's sleep. O/N : Mumbai.

• Day 3 : Mumbai - Aurangabad

  After a delicious breakfast, transfer to Railway Station to connect the train for Aurangabad. On arrival check-in hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting Aurangabad Caves, Daulatabad Fort and Bibi Ka Muqbara. Overnight at the hotel. O/N : Aurangabad.

• Day 4 : Aurangabad.

  Wake up rejuvenated and embark on a excursion to Ajanta Caves. AJANTA is world's greatest historical monument recognized by UNESCO. There are 30 caves in Ajanta of which 9, 10, 19, 26 and 29 are chaitya-grihas and the rest are monasteries. These caves were discovered in AD 1819 and were built up in the earlier 2nd century BC-AD. Most of the paintings in Ajanta are right from 2nd century BC-AD and some of them about the fifth century AD and continued for the next two centuries. All paintings shows heavy religious influence and centre around Buddha, Bodhisattvas, incidents from the life of Buddha and the Jatakas. The paintings are executed on a ground of mud-plaster in the tempera technique. Drive back to hotel for overnight stay. O/N : Aurangabad.

• Day 5 : Aurangabad - Hyderabad (Overnight Train)

  After breakfast, complete the check-out formalities at the hotel and then city tour. Visit prominent attractions like, the Hindu caves, these were constructed between 500 CE and 1000 CE and represent a different style of creative vision and execution skills. Some were of such complexity that they required several generations of planning and coordination to complete. The early caves (caves 17-29) were constructed during the Kalachuri period, while the caves 15 and 16 were constructed during Rashtrakuta period. Evening transfer to railway station to connect train to Hyderabad. Overnight on board.
• Day 6 : Arrive - Hyderabad

  You are greeted on arrival at Secunderabad Railway Station by GATEWAY Holidays representative and thereafter transfer to hotel. Afternoon tour to the city takes you to Salarjung Museum, Charminar, Mecca Masjid, Laad Bazaar and Hussain Sagar Lake. Overnight at hotel in Hyderabad.

• Day 7 : Hyderabad - Bidar - Gulbarga.

  After breakfast, complete the check-out formalities at the hotel and then, excursion to Golconda Fort. Later leave for Bidar (140 kms/3hrs). At Bidar visit with Rangin Mahal, Sola Kamabah Masjid, Gagan Mahal, Madrasa of Mahamud Gawan, proceed drive to Gulbarga (110 kms/2hrs). Over night at Gulbarga.

• Day 8 : Gulbaraga - Bijapur.

  Wake up rejuvenated and embark on a sightseeing tour of Gulbaraga, a unique synthesis of two cultures. Start your tour with Fort, inside the fort is Jamma Masjid, Khawaja Bande Nawaz and Dargarh Library. Later drive to Bijapur (150 kms/3 hrs). Overnight at Bijapur.
• Day 9 : Bijapur - Badami.

  After a delicious breakfast, embark on an excursion to Badami (132kms/3 hrs) en-route visit Aihole as the "cradle of Indian architecture", Aihole has over 100 temples scattered around the village. Overnight at Badami.
• Day 10 : Badami - Hospet.

  After breakfast, complete the check-out formalities at the hotel and then, visit - the capital of the early Chaulkyas, Badami. It is picturesquely situated at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills. Badami is famous for its four cave temples. Leave for Hospet (240 kms/6hrs) and en-route stop at Pattadakal situated on the bank of the Malaraprabha River and has ten major temples representing early Chalukyan architecture. Overnight at Hospet.

• Day 11 : Hospet - Hampi - Hospet.

  The day starts with a road journey tour of Hampi or Vijayanagara (1 hrs drive) one of the largest empires in the history of India- in ruins. Explore the ruined kingdom and return back to Hospet for overnight stay. O/N : Hospet.
• Day 12 : Hospet - Dandeli.

  Soon after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and thereafter, drive to Dandeli via the Jain temples at Lakundi and the cotton market at Gadag. Arrive Dandeli and check in at a Wildlife reserve. Afternoon enjoy a Jeep safari in the park. O/N : Dandeli.

• Day 13 : Dandeli - Goa.

  Wake up rejuvenated and embark on a Safari in the National park. Afternoon drive to Goa (125 kms / 3 hrs). Check into hotel. Evening free to relax on the beach. Overnight in hotel. O/N : Goa.
• Day 14 : Goa

  After breakfast, you can go on a sightseeing tour of Goa to visit its prominent attractions. Visit Old Goa including Panaji, the capital of Goa and the most Happening City. Mapusa Bazaar is considered as the oldest weekly fair on the Konkan Coast. Shri Mangesh Temple in Madgoa is the most sacred place for the Goanese Hindus. Shri Shanta Durga Temple is dedicated to Goddess of peace, Shanteri. Shri Ramanath Temple is a part of Shri Ramanath Panchayatan, a temple complex at Ponda. After exploring the entire place, retire to the hotel for an overnight stay. O/N : Goa.
• Day 15 : Goa

  Day free for leisure or to stroll along the beach. O/N : Goa.
• Day 16 : Goa.

  Soon after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and thereafter, transfer to the airport to board the flight to your onward destination.
