Following the breakfast drive to Jaipur, lovingly known as the Pink City as Maharaja Ram Singh had painted all of the Old City with the welcoming pink in 1876 to indicate a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), it is also the bustling capital of the state of Rajasthan. The state of Rajasthan came into existence after Partition from a mixture of 22 feudal kingdoms, known in the British period as Rajputana, 'Land of Kings'. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening is free to shop in the lively bazaars of Pinkcity. Jaipur is magnificent for shopping.

Afterward enjoy a tour of the City Palace and Jantar Mantar - an old yet cleverly designed space observatory. Enjoy the remaining day in your way. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 5 : Jaipur to Agra
Travel to Agra visiting by way of Fatehpur Sikri, former royal capital of the great Mughal ruler Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been desolate for more than four centuries, by all description discarded in 1600 due to a scanty supply of water. A masterwork in red sandstone, the huge ruins remind you of a highly structured film set. Afterward travel to Agra and check-in at hotel. Subsequent to some moments of leisure drive to visit the renowned Taj Mahal. TAj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz, who unfortunately died during childbirth in 1631. The Taj Mahal in Agra is described as the most exaggerated monument ever built for love and remains one of India's most endured symbols. Created exclusively of white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones, the Taj Mahal has no comparison. Later, visit the impressive Agra Fort. Return back to hotel by evening for overnight stay.
Day 6 : Agra to Jhansi & Orchha
In the morning board in express train to Jhansi and on arrival travel onward to Orchha. Placed on the shores of the River Betwa, Orchha is in mid of a fantastic compound of well-preserved 16th century temples and palaces. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 : Orchha to Khajuraho
Travel further to Khajuraho - home of the splendid Hindu temples which were built at some point in the Chandela period over a 100 year burst of innovative brains from 950-1050 AD. Commemorate in stone, the carved temples exhibit very creative characteristic of Indian life. Distinguished above all for their fragile sensuality and up-front eroticism, how and why they were built still remains an ambiguity. In fact, the Chandelas seem to have forgone concerning the temples soon after they were finished and it took 'rediscovery' by the British before these overwhelming masterwork were fully cherished in India. Though we won't be able to chase away the ambiguity, we have ample time to see the temples for ourselves! The implausible skill of the artisans is apparent throughout. Adding to the attractiveness, these beyond belief temples deviously change vast as the day passes away, passing from a warm pink at sunrise to white under the midday sun and back to pink at sunset. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 8 : Khajuraho to Varanasi
Fly to Varanasi in the afternoon. Conceivably the most sacred city in India; Varanasi, also known as Benares or the city of Shiva, is also one of the oldest cities on earth. Later, we get on a tour of the city and an indirect path to Sarnath - where Lord Buddha conveyed his first oration. At sunset consider re-visiting the ghats for the evening pilgrimage, remarkably different from the dawn ritual. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Great views can be had of Kanchenjunga and the town owns numerous significant monasteries, counting the brilliantly painted Zong Dog Palri Phodrang Gompa (simply known as Durpin Monastery) and Thirpai Choling Gompa founded in 1892 and recently repaired. You will have the day to roam around the town in any way you like. Overnight halt at your hotel.
Day 12 : Gangtok
Parting Kalimpong, we travel to Gangtok, where the rest of the day is free. Capital of Sikkim, a tiny Himalayan state known for its orchids and flowers and for the heavy persuasion of Tibetan culture, Gangtok even though quickly budding is still full of allure, owing to its Buddhist past. Beyond the busy market areas, lays the monastic compounds and prominent geography.
Day 13 : Gangtok
Go out to see eye-catching Rumtek Monastery, Sikkim's largest and most active monastery, which is located in a lower valley. Also during the day tour Gangtok taking in the Royal Monastery - Tsuklakhang, the Institute of Tibetology and the Orchid Sanctuary.
