• Day 1 : DAY 01:Enroute Shillong

  On your arrival at Guwahati airport/railway station, you will be greeted by the agent's representative and transferred to the beautiful city, Shillong. Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and is also known as “Scotland of East” because of the picturesque view that it offers. With rolling hills and pleasant climate, Shillong proves to be a sweet escape. En route visit Umiam Lake, also commonly known as Barapani Lake. Spend some side by the lake and enjoy the peaceful ambiance that this place offers. You can have your lunch here. On reaching the hotel, check-in to your hotel. Unpack and relax for some time.   Post a delectable breakfast, get ready to get a full day city tour of Shillong. The main attractions to be covered on the fourth day of North East tour package from Delhi are-
  1. Don Bosco center Indigenous Cultures Shillong- It is Asia's largest Museum of Indigenous Cultures of its kind. Travelers can have an overview of the whole of North East India at this place.
  2. Lady Hydari Park- Lady Hydari Park is one of the most beautiful places in the heart of the town. It was founded by Lady Hydari, the wife of the Governor of Assam. She was a huge nature lover. This mini zoo clubbed with a deer park stretches for more than one Kilometer and presents some of the best grown and bred rose beds. This place possesses a special play arena for kids.
  3. Ward’s Lake- It’s a horseshoe shaped lake with multi-coloured flowers surrounding it. You can stroll around this lake and admire its beauty.

You will then be transferred to After breakfast and check out from the hotel and proceed towards Mawlynnong Village which is also known as the “cleanest village in Asia”. Stroll around the village and admire the clean surroundings it offers. Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too. Explore the local life of this place. You can visit Balancing Rock, Skywalk, Bangladesh Viewpoint. Next stop of your tour is Dawki.

It is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Situated on the Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati. It is an important pilgrimage destination for general Hindu and especially for Tantric worshipers. Then you will be dropped to Guwahati station/airport for your journey back home.
