Lal Bagh Gardens:
Lal Bagh Gardens is a famous botanical garden in southern Bangalore. The garden was originally commissioned by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore. It has a famous glass house which hosts an annual flower show, housing India's largest collection of tropical plants. It has an aquarium and a lake, and is one of the main tourist attractions in the city. Hyder Ali commissioned the building of this garden in 1760 but his son, Tipu Sultan, completed it who decided to create this garden.
Ulsoor Lake:
Formerly known as Ulsoor, Halasuru is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Bangalore. It is located in central Bangalore, begins roughly near the eastern terminus of MG Road and is renowned for its numerous temples and rather narrow streets. Ulsoor Lake, one of the biggest lakes in Bangalore, is located on the eastern side of the city. It derives its name from the locality, close to M G Road, It is spread over 123.6 acres and has several islands.
Cubbon Park:
Cubbon Park is a landmark 'lung' area of the Bangalore city within the heart of city. It has a rich recorded history of abundant flora and fauna plantations coupled with numerous impressive and aesthetically located buildings. This public park was first named as “Meade’s Park” after Sir John Meade, the acting Commissioner of Mysore in 1870. To commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar’s rule in Mysore State, the park was again renamed Sri. Chamarajendra Park.
Bull Temple:
Popularly known as the Bull Temple, Dodda Basavana Gudi is situated in the Basavanagudi, area of South Bangalore. The Hindu temple is inside the park called Bugle Rock where bull referred to is a sacred Hindu demi-god, known as Nandi, a close devotee and attendant of Shiva.
